━━━ ⚝ ━━━ EXTENDED SUMMARY ❝ it's the summer of 1985 and daniel murphy just moved to hawkins. daniel had been at school for over two weeks but managed to make zero friends, to most people at hawkins middle daniel seemed odd. the boy was always reading, whether it be a comic book or a normal chapter book. he was respectful to every staff member at school, including the janitor, which confused everyone. daniel never considered himself odd, he was just a nice person that was a little different than everyone else. will byers had seen him around school, and wanted to see if he was as odd as everyone said, but then again he wasn't one to judge and he wasn't one to talk considering that he was 'zombie boy'. when the new comic book came out, that daniel had been waiting months for, along with will byers, daniel was the very last person to get the newest comic, but then saw will's face, he handed will the comic, gave him a smile, and walked out of the store. after that will was determined to become friends with him ❞

- this is a season 3 au! they're all the same age as season three ( they're their season 3 selves ) but it doesn't follow the plot of season 3 - daniel is v soft boi, who is v nice , and v respectful. "YoU'rE a PaReNtS wEt dReAm" if anyone got that reference then ily : ) - daniel lives with his dad after his mom died, daniel's dad knew he was gay before daniel did, and he supports it! with will & danny he's like " lol i ship it " - literally every single adult he meets, they instantly love him, bc he's so freaking adorable & respectful ( he cleans up after himself & others, he his GREAT with children, he always makes sure it's okay to call an adult by their real name, ect. ) - the party loves him, except for mike bc he's a sourpuss ( also idk why i don't like him, i mean i love him but in all my plots he's an asshole, and i don't even try to make him one? ) him & max are best friends, will & lucas get vvvv jelly ( lucas knows why he his, but will's confuzzled about why he's like that ) - stevie loves him, at first he thought "omg another child to babysit" then he's like "ily sm man" - mike ALWAYS makes it known that daniel is only there because of will and that he's not wanted in the party ( always an asshole to him ) daniel just gets kinda insecure - ice cream dates 4sure - also johnny & joyce ship
- is it bad that i'm proud of this plot? bc i feel like it is, bc it's so crappy
