a/n: this update was very late and short. i'm sorry, i'm just finishing up school
for the past ten days, angelise had kept herself in her home, like nothing had happened. she knew something had happened though, she still kept the thought of her brother in the back of her head.
she wondered what he was doing right now, if he was still even alive. or maybe we're just dead. the girl thought.
people were too scared to talk to angelise, let alone share a house with her. so she was one of the lucky people who had the whole house to herself.
she was tired, tired of eating the cereal, tired of waiting, everything at this point of her life was dull and empty. but as usual, she pushed away her thoughts.
over these past days she discreetly thought about her and harry's alliance. she hasn't talked to him or seen him since they buried the girl.
she stood up from her bed and dragged herself to her closet, she grabbed a red crop top and jeans. as she was walking, she passed by a mirror. she quickly reversed her steps and looked at the girl in her reflection. baggy eyes, dull skin and her eyes looked like two dark holes. she had lost her glow and just looked exhausted.
"ew." she was disgusted with her reflection.
she walked into the bathroom and splashed her face with water, hoping to make her look more alive. as she looked up and saw that not much has changed, she huffed and grabbed her makeup, effortlessly hiding her bags and making herself look like she wasn't just run over by a bus.
apparently people were meeting up near the church, and at this point angelise would do anything to get out and see other people for once in her life. she threw on her clothes and left the house.
as she walked she saw gretchen sitting on a bench as if she was waiting for someone. she internally scoffed. pathetic.
as the brunette walked outside with a light breeze hitting her face, she started to slightly redeem herself, she felt only a bit healthier than she has for the past week. maybe she should start going out more she thought, as she approached the grassy area.
she looked around and spotted harry and campbell, only to find them both staring back. she raised her brows at the two boys. harry slowly started walking to her, as campbell observed what was happening from afar.
harry slightly smirked, covering up the fact that he was unsure whether to walk closer. yes, they had an alliance but harry knew the girl still had a lot of restrictions, and he barely knew her.
angelise frowned at his smirk and crossed her arms. "what?"
harry reached his hand out to her. for a split second she was confused, then she quickly took a step back.
"don't get too familiar, bingham." she spat.
harry pulled his hand back and blinked. "there was just something on you." he said coldly.
she narrowed her eyes at his sudden mood change, she wasn't one to talk though, her mood can change faster than a blink of an eye.
harry looked ahead and began. "you know-" he was quickly cut off by a hand lightly slapping his shoulder, another hand doing the same to angelise.
he turned to see the pair of hands belonged to non other than capmbell. harry really wanted nothing more than to just punch campbell right now.
he was going to finally talk to the small brunette near him, he hasn't seen her in ten days and he didn't want things to go back to how they were before the trip. he didn't want him and angelise to be complete strangers, and campbell has just ruined that.
