- angelise cringes as she watched the play from backstage. she always found cassandra's voice irritating. she watched as cassandra made the audience laugh, by saying something that was certainly unfunny.there never seemed to be anything specific angelise hated about the redhead. cassandra just seemed to be the perfect girl, the girl who knew everything and could help anyone, whereas angelise mirrored her opposite reflection.
-
the play wraps up and parents leave. angelise silently thanks god the play was over. she got assigned the shittiest job, the person who manages the stage lights. the seats were soon all empty and few students hung around in the auditorium.
angelise grabbed her black hoodie off of a chair, and her notebook where she jots down ideas for prom.
even though the girl didn't talk as much, angelise had a lot to say, so when she decided to help out with prom she wrote down her ideas and showed them to kelly instead of saying them out loud.
"angelise!" kelly yelled across the auditorium.
the dark brunette tensed and turned around walking up to kelly, she raised a brow at her.
"there's a party tonight at harry's, you should come." kelly gave her a bright smile.
"no thanks." the dark brunette gave a small smile and turned away.
harry looked at the disappointment in kelly's face, and gave her a look that basically said 'i told you so'. he watched as the girl walked away, she was undeniably attractive, harry knew that, everyone knew that, but she was distant from everyone. harry kind of admired how she minded her business and let people think what they wanted about her.
-angelise rolled her eyes when she felt a tug at her hair.
"fuck off, devon." angelise slapped his hand away.
she watched as her brother lightly pushed her over and jumped on her bed. causing her to almost fly off the mattress.
she puffed in response while devon gave her a innocent smile.
"you excited for the trip, today?"
angelise was actually excited for the trip, she was waiting a long time to get out of new ham, she would've enjoyed it more if her peers weren't coming along though.
"yeah, kind of." she responded truthfully.
the girl scrunched her nose and pinched devon's cheeks. "are you going to miss me?" she teased in a mocking baby voice.
devon looked at her in disgust and slapped her hands away.
"not a chance." devon smirked.
she was about to make a snarky reply before a voice cut the the siblings' conversation short.
"mr. vasquez would like to see you two downstairs." annabelle spoke.
annabelle was the vasquez' family maid. she was short and blonde, and constantly nervous. she's basically the siblings' mom, well to devon that is. their mom passed away at a young age, so their dad got a maid to help him with the kids and home. however when annabelle came within the first two weeks she was basically raising the kids, and their dad was always busy "working", he didn't even acknowledge his kids anymore.
angelise always gave annabelle a hard time since she was little, still to this day. she thought annabelle would try to replace their mom, whilst devon behaved like a pure angel, he loved annabelle and accepted her as a mother figure. he knew that she was basically the only parent they really had, he also knew angelise didn't like her but he chose not to argue with her about it, knowing it would end up in war.
