"cassandra's counting food supplies." harry scoffed.angelise squinted her eyes at the boy in front of her. she didn't like cassandra, yet she didn't understand how that was a bad thing.
"okay?" she slightly tilted her head.
harry removed his hands from behind his neck and looked at angelise, his eyes becoming wide.
"okay? that's it? she thinks she's in charge or some shit." he furrowed his eyebrows, his voice getting louder by the word.
"don't raise your voice at me-" angelise paused to drink water from the glass she was holding, "you're so over dramatic, harry."
deep down angelise was worried, if we never go back there's no way in hell she'll let cassandra take over to start a civilization. she didn't even know how she would get rid of her, she wasn't planning on killing someone anytime soon. there were many thoughts swirling around her head, she kept them hidden deep down and kept a cold facade. the last person she wanted to see her stressed out was harry, he was already starting to feel comfortable, she didn't like that. angelise always preferred to observe from a distance, take in, learn, and see by herself. this 'alliance' was way out of her comfort zone.
"angelise." he snapped her out of her thoughts.
she replied with a small hum, and focused her gaze back on him. the sun was shining on him giving his skin a glowy look, his hair looked golden in the sun, and fluffy, as always.
harry had this thought on his mind for a while, he didn't want to ask, he didn't like to be clingy. but angelise just seemed like the type to bail out on someone, he needed reassurance that she'll show up for the game. it would be embarrassing, especially after he bragged to his friends about it if she didn't show up.
he ran his hand through his hair and stood up. "i'll see you tonight?"
to his surprise her reply was a quick monotone 'yeah'. she took that as his cue to leave and went upstairs to her bedroom. harry still downstairs watching her walk, he glanced at his shoes and sighed in relief, leaving the vasquez house.
-
getting ready for tonight, angelise applied her usual makeup and red lipstick. she looked at herself in the mirror before running her fingers through her hair. she quickly got up and looked through her closet for her hair straightener, she enjoyed looking nice every once in a while.
by the time she got to the little crowd, everyone was speaking and shouting. she looked over to her left and saw elle talking to grizz, the interaction seemed weird, not uncomfortable though. grizz left and elle crossed her arms over her chest. elle looked around and saw angelise looking back at her. elle smiled a little and approached her.
"hey." angelise said.
"you're playing fugitive?" the blonde raised a brow.
"it'd be rude not too." angelise joked.
elle felt more at ease, she saw harry getting on top of the car from the corner of her eyes and looked back at angelise.
"well, have fun." she smiled and walked away.
"okay, okay." harry laughed while trying to quiet down the crowd.
angelise turned around to face him, she was a bit separated from the people but harry still noticed her and made quick eye contact he covered up his small smile with a chuckle and looked back at the crowd.
"we're gonna wait up a few minutes before dividing into sides. to see if more people show up. so just, hang out." he finished and jumped off the car. the teens went back to their loud chattering.
