Author's Note: Hey readers, thank you NoNameChanTG for the request. As you didn't suggest a Transformers series, (which I told you was fine) I've chosen Transformers: Animated featuring Jetfire and Jetstorm. Those who are reading "A War In The Stars" know that I wanted to write about these two and I think the bond between them would work well with the storyline you explained to me.

Okay I'm done now...

Jetfire and Jetstorm are very close, it is well known that they are one spark in two protoforms. They used to be construction bots but were involved in a near-death accident which gave the Elite Guard the opportunity to experiment with them during their recovery. They were upgraded with specs downloaded from Starscream and became the only flying Autobots of their time. Since then, they have been fighting for the Elite Guard under the command of Sentinel Prime.

At this moment, they were fighting a group of Decepticons who had escaped from prison and hope to continue serving Megatron. Sentinel Prime and Jazz were shooting them using the ship's weapons as they didn't have a good experiance with space the last time they were caught there.

Jetfire and Jetstorm, on the other hand, were fighting them on the outside because of their flight ability.
Jetstorm wanted to combine so that they would be stronger, but Jetfire felt that it would be better for them to fight individually and pick them off two at a time.

They never disagreed, especially during fights. Jetstorm knew that eventually his brother would agree to combine with him as there were too many of them to fight alone.

"We will reach Megatron! And we will help him reclaim Earth and Cybertron. A pair of flying bots will not stop us!" Lugnut yelled.

"But we are a pair of flying bots," the icy Bliztwing pointed out confusingly.

His face changed, revealing the hothead. "Who cares who we are! These freaks are going down!"

Jetstorm drifted over to his brother, worry grew in his spark.

"We must double up, brother. They are being very dangerous."

"We are taking them down, brother. Side by side." Jetfire launched forward and grabbed onto Lugnut, who quickly turned the tables by forcing him against the side of the ship.

Jetstorm wanted to help his brother but he couldn't. He was distracted by Bliztwing who had turned random.

"Time to heat things up!" He yelled as he transformed into a tank and aimed at Jetfire. His brother gasped.

"Goodbye, crazy flying Autobot!" Random Bliztwing chuckled as he shot his lasers.

Without thinking, Jetstorm leaped infront of his brother and took the shot. The lasers tore away the metal and revealed his spark chamber, showing the crystal, blue spark that still remained.

Jetfire was furious. He grabbed Lugnut's wrist and switched his place with him. Pinning him to the ship.

Jetstorm's spark began fading away, he lost his balance and began falling towards the stars below.

"JETSTORM!" Jetfire only used his brother's name when something was really wrong.

Jetstorm flew out of view as he heard his brother's cry. Then his optics faded and he fell out of existence.

Jetfire almost fell back, but he was in no position to. Bliztwing and Lugnut seemed very proud of themselves for terminating an Autobot. Now they would have something to brag about to Starscream.

"Sir, we've just lost Jetstorm's life signal. He's gone!" Jazz yelled as Jetstorm's face washed off of the screen like a smudge.

"No. This is a great loss. Jetfire's abilities are dangerous without his brother's wind turbines." He was stern towards Jazz. "Call him back in, and alert Cybertron and ask for a Strike Force to check out Jetstorm's landing site, maybe we can salvage the data we used to update him.

Jazz stood up, angry, frightened, shaken. Knowing that his boss only cared about the data within him rather than the amazing bot himself.

"With all due respect, sir. Jetstorm is way more important than those specs. And by loosing one, you loose them both. Be considerate of others, Sentinel, it will do you some good."

Sentinel edged his way over to Jazz and slammed his hand on the desk, trapping him in place. "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!"

"R-right away, S-sir," Jazz shivered.

Jetfire was called in and the Decepticons decided that they had won and left to celebrate. Sentinel was mad at everyone, the Decepticons because...well...they're Decepticons, Jazz for disobeying an order and arguing with him and Jetfire because of his reaction to this sudden turn of events.

"Buck up, soldier. Now bot your post! We're leaving right now before those Decepticons come back with friends, or worse, their leader," Sentinel Prime ordered.

Without warning, Jetfire grabbed Sentinel and shoved him against a wall. Making every one very surprised .

"I will not be doing anything for you! Never again!" He set him free then ran through the hatch, locking it behind him.

"What does that bot think he's doing?!" Sentinel yelled.

"Give him time, sir. He did just loose his brother. Let's just roll with it until things turn around," Jazz informed his leader.

That was the last they saw of Jetstorm, and Jetfire too for a while...
