Heatwave has always liked Star, she has always been there for him when he fell down. However, they've known each other for several years and Heatwave still hasn't told her how he feels. While they are really close, the Rescue Bot is afraid that Star will reject and it will ruin their friendship. Then he would have no chance.

Star was in the bunker enjoying her free time. During this time, she usually painted on a canvas. Sometimes of her friends, sometimes of her rescues, and sometimes it's just random but it still turns out good.
At that moment, Blurr came in through one of the tunnels and noticed that Star was there. The two had never gotten along since Blurr arrived on Earth and they tended to fight. They were usually just petty squabbles but his expression showed it would be different this time.
He approached the sky blue Autobot and folded his arms. "Hey Star?" She looked up at him. "How come you're never outside, training with the rest of us? Is your 'artwork' too important?!"
Star rolled her optics before responding. "Blurr, you know I train at dawn, and if you started waking up early then you would know that." She was clearly annoyed, but didn't want to start a fight.
Blurr sighed then looked down at her canvas, he had no idea what it was because it had barely been started.
"Okay then, answer me this. What is that supposed to be? A few blobs on a piece of paper? Some artist you are, I guess that proves why your such a good Rescue Bot," he said with sarcasm, the bot smirked as he said it.
Star glared at him, she stood up and held out her fist. "It isn't finished yet!" The Autobot launched herself forward and punched Blurr, but he was able to stop her by meeting it with a counter. They pushed each other as they argued.
"I'll prove to you that I am a good Rescue Bot," she grunted.
"And how are you gonna do that?" Blurr asked as he struggled.
"I'll show you!" Star placed her peds on his chestplate and kicked him away. She was also launched back and hit a wall. The Autobot watched him as she panted.
Blurr stood up and wiped away the energon on his mouth. "I must say, I'm impressed. But there's a key difference between you and me." Star gave him a confused look before he rushed forward and pinned her to the wall by her arms. "I'm a racer."
As their fight continued, Boulder walked in via one of the tunnels and saw that Blurr had Star pinned to the wall. He gasped when he noticed this then turned around. The Rescue Bot had to find his leader, Heatwave.
Suddenly, Blurr released her and reached for the closest energon tool. It just so happened to be the foam cannon. The Autobot held it up. "Power up and Energize!" The cannon glowed as he said those words.
Star raised her servos as if he was holding a gun whilst he approached her with the energon tool. "Blurr, what are you doing? This is crazy!"
"Just making myself a target."
Star gasped as she reversed but her back hit the wall. She then glared at Blurr. The purple Rescue Bot aimed the cannon at her then used the foam to make her stick to the wall.
Swiftly, Boulder and Heatwave return to see Blurr aiming his fist at Star. The red Rescue Bot ran over to Blurr and grabbed him by the shoulder plates, forcing him off of her.
"Blurr, what are you doing?!" Heatwave asked him.
"Nothing, just training," he said as he tried to look innocent.
Heatwave glared at him. "Blurr, if you don't back off right now, I'm taking you to Optimus!"
Blurr groaned as he stared at his leader, after he rolled his optics and dropped the cannon. Heatwave nodded then released him, allowing him to leave through one of the tunnels.
Heatwave rushed over to Star and removed the foam from the wall, she fell forward and landed in his arms. He helped her up and she smiled as he did.
"Are you alright?" Heatwave asked her in worry.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. He didn't cause too much damage. But...thanks." Star turned around and went to leave through one of the tunnels but stopped when she felt a servo on her shoulder.
"Star, I want to tell you something, something important."
The Autobot twisted her protoform until their optics met. "Really?"
Star walked up to Heatwave and smiled at him. "Star, ever since you first arrived on Earth, you've proven that you are an amazing Rescue Bot, and that's why..." He hesitated. Heatwave knew it was the right time, but one question kept following through his processor.
'Am I the right bot?'
The Rescue Bot looked at Star, her optics widened with a smile. He loved her, and this was never going to work if he kept his feelings bottled up. So he took a deep breath, then spoke.
"That's why I love you."
Star gasped, "Oh, Heatwave."
He looked down, he may have just made the biggest mistake of his life. But he was wrong.
"I love you too." She leaped forward and kissed him, he smiled then pulled her in for another.
This was the happiest day of Heatwave's life.
