Okka opened his eyes in the forest, the mist surrounding him. He couldn't remember getting here. He remembered laying in his hammock next to Lukas's.  Didn't he fall asleep there? He stared into the forest, begining to walk forward.

"Hey. Mortal." Llyr said, making Okka stop dead in his tracks. "I came to apologize. I wasn't supposed to posses you yet, but now the plan has changed. I want us to work together. Work as one when the need arises. Can we?" Llyr looked at the frozen mortal.

"I... I'm scared. You attacked us. You attacked Stewart!" Okka curled into himself slightly, trying to remain confident.

"It won't happen again."

"Fine."

They shook hands, waking Okka from his dream.

"W-what?" He looked around the room, scanning the dark corners for any movement.

Nothing. He relaxed, leaning back into his bed. He suddenly heard something take off from the roof, his body jerking up from his hammock.

"He was here."

Okka got out of his hammock and went to look outside, seeing a shadow pass above the town. He watched them leave before seeing it, a military convoy. He ran to Lukas, shaking him from his sleep. They ran to the convoy, blocking their path.

They stood there, waiting. Lukas was wearing his mask, a long blade in his hands.

"Face me! We aren't cowards hiding in heavy machinery!" Lukas yelled at the convoy, his body posture positioned to guard Okka and the village.

Okka felt Llyr appear nearby, his energy scaring him slightly.

"Lukas?" Okka whispered.

No response.

"Lukas. I think-"

An explosion went off. A grenade had been thrown towards them, missing by a good distance, but just close enough to send shockwaves that threw the two onto the ground. Lukas sprung up quickly, Okka having been knocked unconscious from the shock. Llyr had taken this moment to posses the small Animorph, unbeknownst to the crowd forming. Lukas stood from his sitting position next to Okka, his demeanor different from before. He stood and laughed.

"Oh fuck have you messed up now." He tore the ripped pieces that remained of his shirt after the blast from his body, releasing the magnitude of scars that lined his body.

He had patches of cuts, all deep, lining his arms and chest. Besides those he had long slashes going in random angles that looked like battle scars. His body looked to be a patchwork of agony and pain, mostly self inflicted. All of this on top of a toned and strong form with insane eyes peaking through a wolf skull mask.

He was still, standing there, a calm statue. Then, movement. A car door opened and Lukas sprung on it, running at the man, ripping him from the car. He began attacking the others in the car, moving like a ninja without missing a single beat.

This was when Llyr got full control, his form showing itself in the mortal realm for the first time in centuries. He laughed and stood, dusting himself off.

"Time for the real fun." He summoned his crystal ball and unleashed a wave of destructive power towards the convoy.

A few cars went flying, exploding in the distance. Lukas and Llyr were causing chaos. People were flying through the air, there was blood splattering the streets and there were a few corpses strewn about.

By the time the sun rose, the convoy was decimated. Only a few survived of the attacking force. Those who did, fled. Llyr stared at his handy work, smiling. He stepped out of Okka's body, the small Animorph ending up on the floor again. He smiled and left. Lukas stood in shock at the destruction before him, looking at the still body of Okka. His left horn has cracked, his fur dirtied and slightly bloodied around his horn. He had moved location, though, Lukas had no idea Llyr had used Okka's body to show himself and help out. He just saw the beast that was Llyr during the attack.

Lukas sighed and called for medical to collect the injured and detain the survivors, if there were any, and bridal carried the unconscious Okka to their home. He sat by his unconscious mate. Looking at his sleeping form. He had to wake up, right? Still, there was no movement.

"Okka? Can you hear me? We won. I have no clue how or why but we won. We may actually win the war like Stewart said. Please wake up." Lukas pleaded to the sleeping deer-cat.

Though, Okka couldn't hear him. He was stuck in a dark limbo. Waiting. For what? He didn't know. He just felt the need to wait. To sit and wait for his moment. Then... He heard it. The faintest call in the dark.

"It's not your time, please come back to us. We need you." He jolted awake. Sitting up right in his hammock.

"We need to keep fighting. Nepthys told me. Wait was that a dream?" He asked, looking at Lukas, his mind racing. "Maybe I should think a bit before I start talking nonsense..." He chuckled, recieving a huge hug from Lukas.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" He said, holding Okka to him. "And for now... Just forget the dream. I want to enjoy this moment." He gave Okka a small, loving kiss on the head and climbed into the hammock with him.

Okka did just that, forgot about the dream. Choosing to enjoy the moment and curl into the love of his life. He snuggled into the heat and warmth, smiling in the comfort. The dream just a distant memory.
