Octave smiled as he flew above the clouds, his wings outstretched as he soared above the many mortals scurrying about. It had been a week and a half since he and Llyr had been assigned to watch the war progress from the mortal realm with Themis, but he really enjoyed the warmth of the sun against his dark fur. He landed clumsily on a tree and cleaned the white skeleton-esque markings that lined his bone structure on his fur. He chirped and looked at the mortals below. His long, wild Auburn hair in his pale white eyes. He smiled and took off again, he flew to the main capital building of the human City, admiring the architecture and looking around the large city. He saw a few pretty show pets with their human owners, all looking sad and lonely. He sighed, knowing they weren't happy but not understanding why they didn't leave.

He took off again, flying to Llyr. When he found him he tackled him and held onto him. Chirping about the things he saw, his expression sad and distraught. Llyr chuckled, explaining how it'd be alright, though, Octave kept a blank expression, not understanding a word but liking the idea that Llyr was happy. He smiled and picked up a small piece of stone and started to sketch on the wall.

"Octave? Do you know what we're doing?" Themis asked in a condescending tone.

"Back off, Themis. You know he just needs to be with me." Llyr said, standing beside his brother.

"He's not of use to us, Llyr! He's not good at anything but his art and that is useless to us!!" She was obviously trying to cause something now.

"I said Back. Off. Themis." Llyr was growing angry.

Octave suddenly began flapping his wings, the yelling and angry feeling he was getting was scaring him. He started to flap his wings quickly and frantically. Once Llyr saw his he crouched down to Octave's sitting height and pet his head, trying to soothe him.

Themis growled and stormed off.

"Octave... Please... Calm down. Breathe." Llyr was trying to soothe his older brother, to no avail.

He kept whimpering and squirming about anxiously. A suddenly soft thud stopped them. Llyr turned to find two guards standing by the short, young looking and human-like Themis who was laying sprawled on the floor. They had knocked her out and aimed their guns at the the heads of the two gods. They had let their guard down.

Llyr sprung into action, tackling the first guard. They were fighting as Octave went to take off, not being a fighter most of the time, until... BANG! A single shot rang out. Octave kept flapping for a moment before he couldn't anymore and his limp body fell from the sky.

"OCTAVE!!!" Llyr screamed, watching his brother fall.

His eyes darkened, his fins shifting to a dark black, matching the fluid pouring from his mouth and eyes. He had snapped. He began shredding into the two mortals. The first one he killed was the one he was fighting previously, simply ripping his head in half. The motion sprayed not only Llyr's face, hands, claws, chest, and neck but Themis unconscious face. This woke her up, making her stir in her not so peaceful slumber. The sight she awoke to was not so beautiful... Llyr stood, holding the torn body of the mortal guard by the throat, dragging it towards the stunned guard crawling backwards from the powerful god before him. Llyr smirked when the guard hit a tree, now cornered as he crouched down to the mortal's level.

"Someone like gunning down defenseless gods, huh? What kind of bullets are these anyways?" Llyr tore the gun from the small mortals shaking grasp before he remembered it was even there.

Llyr easily tore open the weapon, freezing when he notices the material. These bullets. They were made of Octave's weakness material. The one mortal thing that can kill him. Lead. Llyr dropped the bullets, his hands shaking. Octave could be dead. Dead forever. Because of this mortal cowering before him.

Llyr kicked the guard in the chest, hard, sending him back into the tree with enough force to stun him. Llyr took his opportunity to pin the guy there with many fast, powerful blows with his knee to the guy's head, which was soon a splattered mess. Themis finally stood, watching Llyr continuously knee the corpse depsite there only being a squished mass of brain matter and skull fragments leaking with the blood coming from the stump of a neck that was left.

Themis approached Llyr, holding out a soft hand to try and comfort him. He didn't stop.

"Llyr?'

Nothing. No reaction. Just destruction.

"Llyr."

Still nothing. How far gone was he?

"Llyr!"

Still attacking, still 'killing' the corpse.

"LLYR!"

"WHAT?!" He finally responded.

"Go find your brother." Llyr nodded and ran off, following Octave's trail.

Llyr had to find him. He just had to. He couldn't lose his brother. This wasn't his final song.
