It's 5:30 A.M. In the bright state of California. Y/N's room is a small circular platform above the kitchen. Your bed is right next to the window, which is a small indent in the wall with glass. It's shaped like a triangle but, the top is circular. There's space away from the window but still in the indent that houses Funko Pops and Amiibos. The indent also holds a laptop, tablet, phone, battery charger, cassette player, TV remote, console controllers, and chargers of the aforementioned controllers, phone, tablet, and laptop. At the right of the room is a TV sitting atop a desk with 6 compartments and a big cupboard in the middle. The middle cupboard houses video games, CDs, and cassettes, the other 6 compartments holding clothes. Consoles connected to the TV via an HDMI switch are a Xbox 360, Nintendo 64, Wii U, GameCube, and Sega Saturn. The other remaining HDMI port connects a Business PC. The left of the room is filled with 2 arcade machines, New Rally-X, and Space Invaders. The room is accessed via a ladder that is welded onto the floor and platform. The ladder is found between the Living room and Kitchen.
        Your morning kicks off with a wake up slap from your Dad, "Get up Y/N, it's time for school!" You fall over to the edge of your bed and roll off the platform. Luckily you manage to grab onto the ladder. "Gahh! I could've died just then!" You yell as you climb up the ladder to meet your dad. "Your breakfast is downstairs! Drink it up and go get ready for school!" Your dad booms. "You're suggesting two strange things. 1: I eat before showering and brushing my teeth, and 2: I drink my breakfast." You say visibly confused. "Just hurry up the readers want Billie son!" Your dad yells. "Readers? Billie? What are you talking about?" You questioned confused. "JUST GET OUT!" Your dad bellowed. You showered and brushed your teeth then sat down at the dinner table. You began eating when your dad started up a conversation. "So son, you know about arcades right?" Your dad asked sitting down with a G.S.M. Blue in his hand. "Yeah I heard of them, I have 2 cabinets in my room." You said confused at the fact that your dad knows you have 2 arcade machines in your room and would still ask that question. "Yeah, you have a couple of machines but, do ya know about the places that have tons of machines in them" Your dad questions taking a sip out of his gin. "Yeah I know of them, why? Also, what's that drink?" You interrogate. "Oh this! Well it's called Ginebra San Miguel or G.S.M. Blue. It's an alcohol very popular in the Philippines my friend J-Ka hooked it up for me." Your dad chuckled. "Oh! The reason I've been asking you these questions is because a new arcade opened up 6 minutes away. My friend Alpha opened it, I think his son goes to your school. Does Sleepy SJN ring a bell?" Your dad was talking slowly and you had already finished your food. "I think I know Sleepy... He's always in the back of the room sleeping and when the teacher calls on him to wake him up he answers immediately. Kinda Creepy." You say back getting your backpack which seems to be heavier than before. "One more thing Y/N." Your dad stands up done with his alcohol. "What is it now?" You groaned turning around. "Since you're 14 and don't have a car, I bought you an electric skateboard because I know you're lazy! Your dad exclaims. "Hey! I'm not lazy! But, thanks a bunch Dad! Though I don't think I'll learn to ride it that fast." You said. "Trust me you will, you'll step on it and go to the arcade like you have rode the board for years. Also the charger is in your backpack and the address is on this piece of paper. Your dad hands you a piece of paper with an address scribbled on it.
As you walk into the school you're greeted by a large white boy slamming into you and booming "YO ANOTHER VICTIM!" As he proceeds to hold you by both your ankles and slaps your rear knocking you out of his hold. He then scurries away to a table of more large white boys and laughs. "What the hell! What just happened? Good thing he didn't damage my, what's it called-" you're interrupted by girly voices screaming "UwU!" As Sleepy walks up to you. "You now get to name your electric skateboard it will be marked as B/N, Board Name. Okie bye." Sleepy says walking away as a bunch of girls squeal "UwU!!!" You sit there stunned then yell out "Thanks Sleepy I guess." You think you might as well name your board "Alright I'mma call it B/N!" You get up stuffing B/N into your backpack and sit down at a table next to a girl with a baggy yellow hoodie on. "Hi I'm Y/N!" You said trying to stray away from your usual monotone voice and sound chipper instead. "Oh me! Uh yeah I'm Billie." She replied turning to face you. Billie isn't that the Musical Arts Club's lead singer? You ponder when Billie asks another question. "So are you in any clubs?" She pokes your shoulder to catch your attention. "Oh yeah! I'm in Musical Arts." You wake up and say. "Really I'm in Musical Arts too! Do you have a stage name yet?" She asks you straightening her posture. "Um stage name?" You ask confused. "Stage names! It's what we call each other and what our audience calls us. It brings us a bit closer! Mine's Billie Eilish." The baggy clothed singer said. "Billie Eye Lash? That's a interesting name." You reply confused. "No... it's Eilish." She says now making motions with her hands. You now understand her but decide to tease her a bit. "Yeah that's what I said Billie Eye Lash." You retort saying the last 3 words in syllables. She lightly punches your arm back and says. "Shut up! You know what I'm saying." You two laugh and continue arguing about Billie's stage name. "I don't have an accent it's pronounced Eilish." You pretend to tip your nonexistent hat and say back in a British accent. "Sorry love, but I think ya got me misconstrued I'm pronouncing it as Billie Eye Lash." She jokingly punches your arm again. "Well you're wrong!" Suddenly a figure walks near the table. "Billie is this guy bothering you?" Dave & Fuckin' Busters! It's that guy who's the leader of the Musical Arts Club! You think in your head accidentally saying Dave & Fuckin' Busters out loud "Did you just say Dave. And. Fuckin'. Busters?" Dave set his hands on the table angrily confused. "Oh! I love that place The Musical Arts Club should go there together after school sometime." Billie said noticing Dave's anger. "Great idea Billie. We'll all go there sometime." Dave lifted his hands from the table and left. "Well I just saved your ass from that awkward confrontation so thank me later." Billie placed her feet on the table. "Well we should probably go, classes start soon." You get up from the table. "Aww, that's no fun!" Billie says taking her feet from the table. "And missing classes within the first week of school is?" You pick up your backpack also pushing in your chair. "Rushing through the halls to get to class and sitting down just as the bell rings. That's fun, especially when it's before the bell and the halls are empty." Billie also gets up leaving her chair out. "And in 5 seconds we run to class 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... 0...... GO!" She exclaims catching you off guard. I swear I'm going to be late because of her. You think running to your history class. As you turn the corner you approach, the one and only Dave & Fuckin' Busters. "Listen, I need you to do me a favor and stop talking to Billie. Just avoid her. You're new here and I like that you're trying to make friends but not with Billie. And one more thing we're not friends either." Dave turns around then walks into a class room closing the door. Right as the door shuts *Ding Dong*. Oh shit.
You ride down the street on B/N reaching the arcade your dad was talking about. "Senpai Cove huh, well Sleepy and his Dad Alpha runs it so what did I expect." You mutter to yourself walking into the building. As you walk into the arcade you see multiple machines and even home consoles like the GameCube. You walk around and see Sleepy at a counter... sleeping. "Hey! This place sells candy too!" You say eyeballing the candy in the glass counter. "EeeeYup we sell tons of candy. Want some?" Sleepy said eyes still closed with his head only supported by his hand. "Sure I'll take a Crunch Bar. Also how do I play the GameCube?" You ask setting down a 5 dollar bill. " You pay 1 Dollar here to get your name registered and wait until you're called up. Do you wanna register an account here?" Sleepy asks reaching for a bar. "Um sure." You two register yourself an account and Sleepy hands you you Senpai Card which shows your Senpai Name. S/N. You finish your Crunch Bar as you land a combo in Street Fighter 2. "S/N and MagiKoopa please come play!" The announcer shouts. You sit down next to a yellow hoodie which is all you see of your opponent because the battle starts immediately. Your opponent chooses Kirby and you choose Captain Falcon. The match starts off and you realize you're battling a beginner as they didn't tech after you landed a Falcon Punch. "UwU!" Yeah bold words will explain some terms I'll be using just in case you guys don't play smash. "UwU!" Teching is the act of pressing shield right before you land after getting hit. They land a kick on you and keep pressing kick to keep you at bay. You roll through their A-Mashing and grab them. A-Mashing is just pressing A forever and becoming scum. After you land your grab you throw them up and up smashing them. Smashing is not what you think its a strong attack that is used to score a kill not well you get it. You K.O. them knocking off one of their 4 lives. You then forward smash them off the stage then falcon punch them. You score a kill from that. You then lock them in a combo and score another kill. You take off their final life by juggling them to death. Juggling is a series of attacks that knock your opponent into the air and the blast zone which is an offscreen area that kills anyone who enters. "Dammit!" You hear a familiar voice say. You turn to see Billie setting her controller down. "Hey Billie!" You say setting down your controller and standing up. "Oh Y/N!" She turned to face you. "You like video games?" You asked. "Of course I do! Who doesn't?" Billie says putting away her Senpai Card. "This place wasn't what I expected it to be?" You say looking around. "What were you expecting it to be a love hotel or a strip club?" She jokingly punched your arm. "No! I just expected it to have less cabinets and no GameCube." You defended yourself. Billie checked her phone. "Oh I have to go my brother wants me home bye!" Billie put away her phone and picked up her bag. "Oh, um Bye!".
        You get back home and think to yourself. Damn Dave told me to avoid Billie but we just keep on meeting! I mean I shouldn't listen to that guy anyway right. Oh god what should I do. "Y/N! There's a letter for you!"
