“You cannot domesticate an angel!” she trembled
As they backed her into a corner,
“You cannot bestow harm on them…”
But the doctors were swift
Like a star falling from the sky
And they tranquilised her.
Her weak, sick body c r u m b l e d to the floor
And her dark hair covered her now ghost-pale face.
They picked her up with care
For her fragility could be broken quickly,
All the while, trying to stop the tears from falling from their own eyes.
