Last episode (chapter 8)

He skidded the car to a halt in the middle of the road, I was scared we shouldn't be run over by a car before whatever it was out there gets to us first,he stopped the car.

I saw what knocked the breath out of me, I was staring at what made me open my eyes wide in their sockets.

Mae's POV

WTF!!!

There stood an eight feet tall creature, he has the head of a wolf while the body was very hairy like that of an animal, He stood on its paws and leg, then miraculously, he stands on two of its huge legs. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I can't believe there is truly something like that in this world. My heart started drumming with an insane rhythm.

I started questioning myself 'is this how I will die, AS A VIRGIN? Oh! God, please if you save me just this one time from this, I will remember to pray always' while on the other side of me, Derek was looking as calm on the outside as ever, the only thing that reflects his anger was his blackened eyes which shows Ryder was present.

If worse comes to worse, I don't know if they could defeat this huge beast, but again, I haven't seen Derek's welding his power before so I wasn't sure if I'm save or not.

It stood at the front of the car and his stance implies he was waiting for someone or something. He looked impatient.

"Shit, I don't know what this is yet but I know I don't want you involved so you stay in the car, I don't want you involved in this" he warned me before unfastening his seat belt. I stopped him

"You can't possibly mean to go out there and meet t this... " I don't know what to call it and I have this feeling inside of me that felt it was rude to call it a 'thing or monster'. Well, at least calling it out, it's one thing to say it inside while it's another thing to say it out.

"Yes I'm going out, he wants to talk to me"

He??? He wants to talk to him?

"How did you know that?" how was he sure the thing doesn't want to devour us both. I can't allow him to go out of the car at least if we are inside the car, we could have that to our advantage.

I was scared of that creature outside, well that's obvious with the way I started sweating even with the AC on.

"He told me, I can't explain that to you now, you still have a lot to learn about 'our ways'. And if you must know, that lycan outside is no match for my strength" he opened the car door and stepped out.

No I didn't say that out, Wait! Did I say it out? No I'm certain I didn't say it out. And did he just say Lycan?

I've heard that word before... O.. Okay! He mentioned it when we were talking earlier, when he was mentioning the creatures apart from his kinds that roams this earth.

So this is what a Lycan looks like?!!!

He walked towards the Lycan and said something which I couldn't catch on since I was inside the car.

I stayed in the car patiently (note the sarcasm) waiting for him, I was growing restless, Derek or Ryder was having a heated conversation with this creature even when I noticed it was only him talking, the Lycan just stood there without opening its wide mouth. But I feel they are communicating but I don't know how. The conversation was too low for me to pick on. I was growing impatient and decided to go out and check out what it was. My justification was, what if this Lycan hurt him? Or what if a fight broke up between them, I can't have that because due to Derek's stiff posture, I can tell the conversation isn't something he wants to hear.
