With You (Sahyo TWICE)

Chapter 6

After we gave Sana her medicine and made sure she was okay by herself, Nayeon, Mina, and I went to the living room. Unsurprisingly, all the members were eating the food Mina made. We walked to the table and sat down. Mina sat next to me with Chae on her other side.

DH: What happened?

I looked at Mina, who was holding my hand. I was too worn out to deal with this. Nayeon stood behind me with her hands on my shoulders. 

MN: Sana's sick. I think she has the flu. We gave her medicine, though. She'll be fine. 

Dahyun nodded as Nayeon sat down on my other side. 

DH: Oh, okay. 

We all ate in silence for a while. 

JH: Oh, one more thing. I got us this week off.

Of course, everyone was happy and excited and hugged me and whatever. I hugged them back and made sure they were okay. I needed to check on Sana. I couldn't leave her. 

JH: I'm gonna go check on Sana. 

MN: I'm coming with you. 

I smiled gratefully at her and put Chae in charge again, at the protests of the other members. 

We quickly walked to the door of Sana's room, Mina still holding my hand.

MN: I'm here for you. 

I felt all my emotions, the stress, the anxiety, the exhaustion, all rise up in me and come crashing down, destroying everything in its way.  

MN: *whispers* I'm always here when you need me. 

She wrapped her arms around me and I buried my face in her shoulder. She hugged me until I couldn't handle it. 

SANA. SANA. SANA. SANA. I NEED YOU. 

Mina understood. She pulled away as I fixed my hair and tried to look like I wasn't having a breakdown. 

She smiled at me.

MN: Let's go check on her. 

I smiled back and grabbed her hand. She opened the door with her free hand and went in first. She knew this was hard for me. I walked next to Sana's bed and just watched her breathe, watched her chest slowly rising and falling. Mina reached over, tapped her shoulder and Sana's eyes shot open. As soon as she saw me, she smiled. 

SN: Hi.

Her voice sounded like it had just hatched and had never been used before. 

JH: Hi. do you want your medicine now?

SN: Ssurre. Wh-wha-t happened? 

I put my hand on her shoulder. I tried my best not to break down as I knelt beside her. Mina got a pill from the bottle and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. 

JH: I think you have the flu. Remember when Nayeon got it last week?

She nodded.

JH: You should be fine, though. Want anything to eat or drink?

Mina came back with the medicine. Sana took it and the water helped her talk normally.

SN: A hot drink, I guess. Tea would be fine.

I kissed her forehead again and Mina knelt next to me and hugged Sana. 

MN: We also have this week off, so take your time getting better, okay? We want you to recover.
