Sana's POV

Performing with only 8 members was hard.

While we were doing the prerecording, my eyes would unconsciously drift to where Jihyo was supposed to be. I wasn't the only one, either. I caught Momo and Tzuyu looking a lot as well. Still, we smiled and danced hard, even though a piece of our puzzle was missing.

During our winning speech, Chaeyoung and Nayeon talked. Mina sang Jihyo's parts during the encore stage, and we left a spot for her during the surprise selfie we took with fans.

After the crowd left, we went backstage to change and go back home. Exhausted, I immediately flopped on one of the couches across from the costume rack and stared at the wall, somewhere between sleeping and awake. I felt myself beginning to fall asleep when someone tapped my shoulder.

"Get up! We gotta go!" Nayeon bent over and yelled directly into my right ear canal.

I rubbed my ear, trying to get rid of the ringing as I stood up and walked to the dressing room, changing into sweatpants and a t-shirt. I slipped on my sneakers and pushed open the door, hitting Nayeon's back with it.

"That was for destroying my ear drum. I might have to get hearing aids because of that." I grabbed my jacket and she just scoffed. I smiled. I had to admit, she was fun to tease.

It wasn't long before we all walked out to the van, mostly because I was one of the last to get ready. The manager pulled open the door, and I got in my usual spot by the window. Tzuyu sat next to me, in Jihyo's spot. It wasn't long before I fell asleep, this time with my head against the window.

I woke up when the van arrived at the dorm. It was completely dark outside, and raining. I checked the time: 12:00. Not too bad, and earlier than usual. I was still exhausted. Something about Jihyo not being there made everything 10x more tiring.

I stumbled out of the van after Tzuyu and practically ran inside. I got there before anyone else and punched the code in before kicking off my shoes and tossing my bag somewhere in the entryway. I dashed into the living room, wanting nothing more than to order a pizza and watch a movie.

Turns out Jihyo had the same idea, at least about the movie part. She was watching Avengers without subtitles, probably trying to practice her English. She was sitting in a t-shirt and sweatpants, her wet hair dripping down the blanket around her shoulders. I crept up behind her and wrapped my arms around her, kissing her neck. She giggled and leaned back. I buried my face in her neck and closed my eyes.

"Sana, come here."

I opened my eyes and I saw her patting the spot next to her. I let her go and walked to the spot, and as soon as I got close enough she ripped my my jacket off and tossed it behind her. I sat next to her and pulled her halfway onto my lap. She cuddled into my shoulder and continued to watch the movie. I rested my head on hers and closed my eyes, letting myself fall asleep.

Jihyo's POV

Sana was absolutely adorable.

I spent a lot more time watching her than watching the movie, I will admit. I was also happy to have her back here, with me. Even though I had a manager here, I was still on edge. What if someone broke in? What if something happened to another member because I wasn't there? How would the fans react to my sudden disappearance? Now that Sana was back, however, I could sit and revel in the fact that I had a girlfriend, then maybe spend some time with said girlfriend.

I spent the remainder of the movie kissing her cheek and curling into her even more. When the movie ended, I turned off the TV and patted her arm. Jeongyeon had just gotten out of the shower, and it was her turn. And, to be honest, Sana did smell a little.

"Wake up, you gotta go shower."

She pulled me closer to her while mumbling "5 more minutes."

I sighed. "Sana, c'mon. You have to go now."

She opened her eyes and looked down at me.

"You're adorable, you know that?" She pinched my cheek.

I blushed from her intense gaze. "None of this changes the fact that you still have to take a shower."

She pouted. "Fine. But only for you." She got up, making sure the blanket was wrapped around me tightly before going to the bathroom.

I refocused on the movie. Nayeon sat next to me, and Mina sat on my other side until Sana finished her shower.

Sana's POV

I showered as quickly as possible, wanting to go to bed early. And because Momo was pounding on the door for a solid five minutes asking to use the bathroom.

I sighed as I switched the water off and opened the door. I'd known Momo for 8 years, so I felt no shame walking out in just a towel. I purposely bumped into her when I left the bathroom and she flipped me off. I rolled my eyes in retaliation. Friendship at its finest.

I ran down the hallway to my room and slammed into the door. Rubbing my now sore shoulder, I yanked open my closet and got dressed. I had just pulled on a t-shirt when Nayeon walked in and went straight to her bed, lying down on her stomach and pulling the covers over her face.

"You okay?" I slipped on basketball shorts. It was supposed to be hot that night, and the air conditioners weren't working as well as usual.

"No. Jeongyeon hates me," she groaned, her voice muffled.

"Nayeon, she loves you. No matter how pissed she gets, she still cares about you."

She turned onto her back. "Remember that time she yelled at me for using her toothbrush?"

"Yeah?"

"I did it again, and now she hates me."

I toweled off my hair. "You two share spit all the time. Just apologize."

She threw the covers off and sat up. "I tried and she just yelled."

I put the towel down and looked at her. "She's just tired and worn out. And she was very mad about the misplaced couch cushions yesterday. Try again."

She stood up and stumbled to the door. "Yeah, I will."

I had just sat down on my bed and started scrolling through my phone when Jihyo walked in, her blanket still draped across her shoulders. She sat behind me and clung to my waist. I put my phone down.

"Bed?" she mumbled into my shoulder.

I nodded and slowly detached myself from her to turn off the light and plug in my phone. After sticking my hand out the door to turn off the hallway light, I ran away as quickly as possible because I'm afraid of the dark, and everyone knows the monsters can't get you when you're in bed.

Jihyo was facing the wall, seemingly asleep, her movie blanket on the floor. I lay down next to her, wrapping my arms around her waist and patting her stomach. She held one of my hands in hers and whispered an "I love you." I smiled and kissed the back of her head. "I love you too. Goodnight," I whispered back as I fell asleep.
