I thought I had found my significant other, but it wasn't until I heard his lifeless body hit the floor when I realized I've killed yet another stranger instead. I was on the verge of breaking down. Each time I've killed it's gotten easier but it was never something I enjoyed.

I longed to find whomever my partner was. Ranging from killing women to men , and I have yet to find them. I dragged the heavy body to a nearby ally , tossing it into the dumpster. It was a dumb move really but I stopped bothering to hide my tracks. It's as if I just want to be caught again.

After changing into a new set of clothes and stepping into the living room I heard a gun cock from behind me.

" who do we have here ?" I said turning around to face a young female detective. " star light , is it ?" She asked.

" yes that is correct " I replied. " we've been looking for you for quite some time." She said , looking past my shoulder. I peeked behind me and noticed another detective but he was male.

" you became sloppy with covering your tracks again " he smirked. " I suppose I have " I replied.

" get on the ground " she demanded. " or what , your gonna kill me detective?" I chuckled. " she won't " the man budged in. " though I will"

He cocked his gun. I let out a laugh and grabbed the gun from my front pocket , shooting the male detective. There were only two gunshots in the room , but only one person fell. I turned back to the female detective, and noticed she had shot me.my eyes widened in shock. It was her. My lounged for soulmate. " you , you have found me " I croaked with tears in my eyes.

She was in shock. I could imagine her pain. Having her only soulsmate be a serial killer might have its tolls.  " I-I this isn't right" she muttered , shooting me again. Though the bullets did nothing, as I did not die.
