Love at First sight

Chapter 3

Asta Pov:

I was so excited for our first mission, I couldn't stop jumping around till Noelle hit me. After a few minutes when I calmed down, Finral opened a portal and we stepped through. In front of us was a huge dungeon. From the outside the dungeon looked pretty normal, so I did not understand at first why nobody else wanted to do the mission but I was also glad that nobody did. When we entered my jaw dropped, everywhere I looked were stairs. But they were not your normal stairs. They were on the ceiling, at the walls, on the left and right side.

Noelle closed my mouth and just mumbled "idiot". I turned to look at Luck who was just smiling as usual. Suddenly his eyes grew wide and he was a bit more excited. " I can feel a strong opponent here !" chirped Luck and in the next moment he wore his electric amour and ran away just screaming " I will be back soon just wait or explore on your own!!" with that he was gone.

I turned back to Noelle who just stared at the entrance where Luck disappeared. She quickly snapped out of it "And he wants to be our superior" she raged furiously. "
"Come on Noelle you know how he is !" I hesitated as I tried to calm her down. She took a deep breath and exhaled. We looked at each other and noted when we stepped forward suddenly we where captured in a trap.

After what nearly felt like an hour we escaped from the trap and tried to find a way to the treasure. Three people where standing in another entrance. It took me some minutes before I realised who it was. It was Yuno, a girl with ginger hair and I suppose the guy with the light blue hair and glasses was their superior.

"What are you doing here Yuno?!!" I screamed . He just starred at me and just hummed. "The same as you do. Searching for the treasure." he calmly said. "Yuno who is this? " the guy with the blue hair huffed and continued
"We have a mission. We shall not waste our time with him!!".

"He is my brother." Yuno said without any emotion. "YOU HAVE A BROTHER?!!" they both exclaimed. "He is my adoptive brother, he is not related to me by blood."

When they calmed down the one with the blue hair, I do not know his name so I will call him Mr Classes said
"Let's go we have a mission to complete. We have to find the treasure and we will not waste our time with trash". He turned around and before they left I screamed " I bet we can find the treasure before you!". Yuno turned around and just bragged "That will never happen Asta". We watched them as they left and just stood there for a minute.

After another minute our brain started working again and we chased after them. It took us a few minutes to find the right way.

/Time skip/

Somehow we managed to find them but they were injured and were fighting against someone of the crystal kingdom. Luck finally showed himself again and helped us fight. In the end it was me who had too fight him because everyone was stuck in one of his crystals but I love to fight because I have a goal "I will be the wizard king".

I pulled out my sword and attacked him but that was not enough. Somehow Noelle gave me something of her magic and I defeated him but I did not notice that a big shard stuck in my right shoulder. I noticed it when suddenly a strong wave of pain hit me and I coughed blood. I just heard people scream my name when suddenly everything went dark.

" A... As... Ast ... Asta" I heard someone say but I could not make out who it was. I wanted to wake up and say " I am awake you do not have to worry about me" but I could not. It felt like a strong force which pulled me back into the darkness so I let it consume me.

Yami Pov:

I was reading the news paper when suddenly Noelle stormed into the living room. I looked at her, she rambled so fast I could not understand her. After a few minutes I began " Say it again, I could not understand a thing you were trying to tell me".
"Yami! Asta got hurt pretty badly on our mission and now he is in coma! " Noelle sobbed.

I was shocked I did not know what I should say. Finral appeared and he brought us to Asta. He was as pale as the bed sheet. I sat down at one of the chairs which were beneath his bed. We just sat there in silence because no one knew what to say. So we remained silent. After one or two hours a doctor appeared. "Hello you must be his team mates" he greeted us.
" I am sorry but I have good and bad news for you. Which one would you prefer to hear first?" he insisted and waited for our decision.
It was me who spoke " The good one first ". "Alright" he nodded and continued. "The good one is that he is alive and that the shard missed his heart. But the bad one is that he lost a lot of blood and because of that he is in coma and we do not know for how long" he ended and left. I was glad that he was alive. Since the doctor left we stayed there for two hours and then Finral and Noelle left. I insisted that I wanted to stay with Asta because I am the squad captain but the real reason was that I loved him.

They left and I was alone with him. I did not know what I should say but I knew that patients who are in coma could somehow hear you. So I started talking about my childhood, at least mean the parts that I could remember and how I was chosen to be a squad captain and so on. I sighed and said "Asta please wake up! If you don't wake up I don't know what I should do! I cannot live without you! I love you". He did not move and somehow I was glad because I did not want him to hate me. I took his hand and looked at him. I got closer. I looked at his face, I took in every little Detail. I noticed how long his lashes were and how his lips had the most beautiful shade of pink. I could not help myself and kissed him. His lips were cold but soft. I pulled away and smiled. 

Suddenly my eyes started to close and I yawned and fell asleep beneath Asta.
