Second Chance (Lupinranger vs patranger)

Megumi pov.

Today is just the same as usual.

Doing chores, going classes, eat, sleep, stalking.

Don't get me wrong but i am not stalking actually. It's part of my plan. I am only watching the kaitous fight the gangkers from a very far distance. Just like today.

'Hmm. That gangler has a fire manipulater ability maybe? Definitely not my target.'

I keep my binoculars in my bag as i started to head back home until i heard a siren noise. I pulled out my binoculars again and saw the keisatsu.

'Ehh? So this is the time when they finally got their gears ?'

I just watching them against each other and soon they chase each other with their gigantic vehicles. Soon, they passed by my hideout and lucky for me, they were so busy that they ignored me. Good.

'Nothing interesting today. Guess i should go home and reading manga again.'

I started go home. On my way home, my friend, Akako called me.

"Megumi! Hey, you don't have any classes today right! Let's hang out! I saw a good cafe. We can grab some coffee and takes some selfies. And post them on insta. You in?"

"Gomen. I am not in the mood. Next time."

"Ehh! You always say that ! You need to try out other places to eat. Come on! How could you let a poor, amazing friend eating alone. Pretty please!"

"Don't you have any other friends? You are the extrovert afterall."

"But i miss my bestie. When was the last time we hang out ?"

"Last week. Sorry Akako. I just want to stay at home."

"Hey. Umm. Megumi. I know that your situation is hard right now. About your mom. Your ex. You know you can count on me to tell your problems right ?"

"I appriciate that. I really do. Just now is not the right time."

"Kay kay. See you later."

Sorry Akako. But i can't waste my time.

I ran as fast as i could to the flower shop.
As i arrived, i saw several people hugging their companions.

I need to hurry! Run faster!

Mrs. Fujio, my mother's friend was standing in front of the shop, as she tried to searching someone.

"Mrs. Fujio!"

"Megumi chan!"

I took a couple breath as i stopped running in front of her.

"Mom. Whe- where is she ? "

"I don't know. She is suppose to be here. "

"Maybe she is trying to find me! I try to find her around here. Please wait here and call her." Before she nodded, i head off to find my mom. I searched her, shouting her name hoping she could reply but there was no answer.

Where is she?

Did'nt the lupinrangers and patrangers defeat the guy who froze his prisoners?

I went back to the flower shop and saw Mrs. Fujio alone.

She is not here. Mrs. Fujio saw me and asked if i find my mom. I answered no before sitting on the stairs. Then, i remembered the global police and told Mrs. Fujio that i am going there.

"I am so sorry to inform you miss sakura but your mother is dead." A police with a red theme uniform sadly informed the shocking news to me. I pinched my right arm, trying to get into the reality.

"What do you mean she is dead ? I saw the people who dissapeared 2 years ago finally appear again! And they are alive and breathing!"

"Miss sakura. Some of the ice prisoners were killed in order to make a new disguise for the ganglers. Your mother is one of the unfortunates."

I slumped back at my chair, trying to digest his explaination.

Mom is gone..

I will never see her again.

Tears started to dropped at my cheek. The police officer handed me a tissue box. I accepted it and took a tissue.

"I...I understand what you feel. I also lost a coworker from that gangler too. And because of that gangler. The kaitous never get to get out."

Did something happen to the lupinrangers?

I decided to not asked about it. My mind was cloudy because of the shocking news. Shortly, i excuse myself out and bumped into Mrs. Fujio who was waiting outside the station. Mrs. Fujio was panicked to see my eyes were red.

"M-mom. Mom. Is dead... That gangler killed her.." i burst out into tears as i hugged Mrs. Fujio. Mrs. Fujio strucked my head as i hear her sobbing.

The next weeks, i isolated myself from anyone. I stayed at my house, ignoring everyone. Akako, Mrs. Fujio, father and my step family visited and try to cheer me up but i lost my smile.

One day, i decided to go out because i ran out of groceries. Sure i can just order them but i am sick lying on my bed. Maybe a walk can help.

I was'nt paying attention. That was a mistake. Especially when i am crossing the street. That is because...

I got hit by a truck.

(Truck kun strikes again)

I fell onto the ground and my head hit the ground so hard. My body feel so much in pain. I struggle to keep awake but i was so sleepy. As i closed my eyes, i heard someone called my name.

"Megumi chan!"

I opened my eyes and the first person i saw is Akako.

"Oh. I am so glad you are okay. J was totes so worry for you. This is why you should eat breakfast. If you did, you won't faint like that."

"Akako. I am.. alive?"

"Buddy. Don't be so dramatic."

"I was hit by a truck."

"No. You were so hungry that you lose energy and being a klutz falling from the stairs."

That is sound so familiar situation. Just like last year. Wait.

"Akako. What date is today? "

Akako showed me her phone.
