As the gigantic bull-like demonic beast charged, Harold levitated a pillar from the rubble of the broken buildings of the former city of Silay. He then transmuted it to silver and changed it to a large spear-like shape. It was then launched through layers of magical circles charged with acceleration magic. The other mages followed suit and cast spells to take care of other large demonic beasts.

The large silver spike accelerated at high speeds toward the gigantic black bull and struck it true. The metal's anti-demonic properties allowed the spike to kill the bull and even go through it. The spike struck the portal behind the demonic beast, destroying it for good.

Remuel flies upward. He unsheathes Mas Dolor before dive-bombing towards the heart of the demonic army. As he is about to approach the demonic army, he ignites the sword with hellfire. The sword emits screams of agony. He slashes the burning screaming blade at the demons around him, cleaving through them.

Various demonic siege engines explodes as the explorers under the command of Robin cast powerful explosive spells. After doing so, they retreat back behind the walls using teleportation magic before jumping back into the fray and destroying more demonic siege engines.

Robin himself is with no other explorers and is destroying portals with explosive magic. Due to this, the demonic army is having a hard time to replenish its forces.

On top of the walls, the guards are shooting at the demons using their magical guns. Their leader, Jacob, is ensuring that all of them are properly coordinated.

As the fighting prolonged, the number of demons began dwindling. By early afternoon, all of their portals and siege engines were already destroyed by the explorers. Finally, as the sun sets on the western horizon, the demon army retreated.

Sighs of relief and cheers of joy erupted from the defenders as the demonic army retreated. In celebration, they ate well before sleeping through the night.

At the crack of dawn, all of them woke up. After eating a quick breakfast, they all returned to their previous positions. The four leaders reconvened once more to discuss various tactics.

Meanwhile, back at the divination laboratory, the mages are panicking at what they saw through their divinations.

"How did they make one so big?!" asked Ron. "The amount of energy it would require to run something that big would be too large to be viable!"

"We don't know!" replied Elena. "Now stop asking questions we can't answer. We need to transmit our findings to the front. Activate the array!"

"Way ahead of you, sis," said Jose. "I just need the thing we're about to send."

Back on the front, Harold received a scroll. It simply had a magical circle drawn hastily in the middle.

He unfurled it and placed it on the center of the table. "We've got news from the divination lab. It seems that it is urgent."

"Activate it, then!" urged Remuel.

Harold waved his hand in front of the circle and it lit up. The circle produced images of the advancing demonic army. At first it showed the same kind of mutants and demons that were present in the day before. Then, it showed some that they haven't encountered yet. Finally, it showed the image of a gigantic portal – easily the largest one that the four had ever seen – on top of a platform, being pulled by numerous demonic beasts.

"What the actual fuck?!" exclaimed Remuel. "How did they make that?"

"How they made that is of no importance to us," said Harold. "What we need to worry about are the things it's going to produce."

Robin nodded. "Let's not forget that we have to destroy that, too."

Jacob sighed. "This is going to be long day, isn't it?"

Just as Harold was about to answer, loud roars coming from the horizon signaled the second attack of the demons.
