I am so sad, so very sad, because I lost the only friend I had. Maybe he's right, maybe this is all in my head, maybe I should indeed seek to be near other people, although, something about Airell's letter seemed wrong. I got some courage and went to open my backpack to see if I was indeed just ink, and he was right, it was just ink spilled all over my backpack, but how? I'm very sure of what I saw, the shadow even handed me the pen I was trying to get! Maybe I should have told him that.
After a long day of working on some maps, I went to bed. And again, I woke up in middle of the night. The night was just like that other night, dim and with a beach as the main view of my window, but I dismissed it as a dream. While I was trying to go back to sleep, I heard a knock on my front door, which I also dismissed, until the knock was on my window instead. Frightened and shook I peeked out of my blankets to see the man I met on the cliff that another cursed night holding my lost lamp right in front of my window. He knocked again in a rather annoyed way, and he indeed looked quite bothered.
Given what had happened with the shadow and all, I decided to ignore him, I told myself it was just another nightmare, that this wasn't real, that is, until he angrily said "Well, do you want your lantern or not?" I wasn't sure how to react, so I peeked out of my blankets again and nodded. I then sat on the side of my bed to put my slippers on, I then quickly approached the window to open it, and as soon as I did, he shoved the lantern into me.
"Well that's pretty rude" I mindlessly complained "you could have broken it and caused an accident"
He angrily looked at me like he was going to say something, but he instead swallowed his words and just started walking away. I was so dumbfounded I just stood still looking at him go for a while before I closed my window, turned off the lamp and went back to bed. It was a rather peaceful night after that.
