Why I love it: As it says over, it's dedicated to my only younger sibling, my little brother Eirik. He's my best friend and I'll never love anyone more than I love him. I listened to this a lot while I lived away from him, like my first year in high school when he lived with mom and I lived with grandma, and in my second year when I lived far away from all of them. When I was planning to end it all, I'd see his face only, I'd turn on the song, and I'd cry, because if I die, I'll never get to see my little brother again, and that's the worst fate I could get.
The road is long
With many a winding turns
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows whereBut I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brotherSo on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get thereFor I know
He would not encumber meHe ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one anotherIt's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not shareAnd the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy he's my brother
He's my brotherHe ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
