Wizards Of The Next Generation

Chapter 5:

"Bye Lily." Harry said, as he kisses his daughters head.

"Bye daddy." Lily says, as she reaches up and hugs him. He smiles then hugs her back, the ruffles her hair. He looks over at Ginny, then kisses her on the lips.

"Bye love." He says.

She smiles. "Bye." She says, then kisses him back. "Be careful at work." He nods and smiles.

"I will." He says, then kisses her again. Lily giggles.

"Eww!!" She says as they kiss. They look down at her and smile. Harry reaches down and tickles her. She laughs, "Daddy stop!" She says, then Ginny joins in. She giggles, then tries to run off when Harry grabs her gently, and holds her out for Ginny to tickle. They laugh as she giggles, struggling in Harry's gentle grip. He smiles, then sits her down on the ground and kisses her forehead.

"Bye Lilybug, I love you." He says.

"Bye daddy. I love you too." She replies, smiling up at him. He smiles at her, then reaches down and ruffles her hair. He looks over at Ginny, then kisses her.

"Bye." He says.

"Bye." She replies, then kisses him back. He smiles, then walks to the fireplace. He steps in, then drops the floo powder.

"Ministry of Magic!" He calls, then shoots through. Ginny smiles, then looks down at Lily.

"Can Hugo come over today, Mummy?" She asks.

She nods. "I'll write to Aunt Hermione and Uncle Ron and see what they say."

She grins. "Okay!" She says happily. She nods, then walks to the kitchen to write it.

'Hey, Lily was wondering if Hugo could come over sometime today. I was just wondering if it was okay. -Ginny', she writes. She ties it to an owl, then sends it off.

Not long afterward, the owl returns with a different letter tied to it. Ginny unties the letter, and starts to read it. 'Of course it's okay! What time do you want him over? -Hermione', It reads. She starts to write back.

'Anytime is good. -Ginny', she writes, then ties it back to the owl and watches it fly off. A few minutes later it comes back again. She unties the letter that was now tied to it.

'Okay, I'll send him right over. -Hermione'.

"Lily!" Ginny calls, and Lily walks back into the room.

"Yeah mummy?"

"Hugo should be here any time now." She says, and as if on cue, Hugo appeared in the fireplace smiling. He stepped out and ran over to Lily.

"Hey!" She says happily.

"Hey!" He says, as he pushes some red hair out of his face.

She smiles. "What do you want to do?"

He shrugs. "Quidditch?" He suggests. She nods and grins, then grabs his arm and pulls him outside. She starts to get out the quidditch supplies. She finishes and grins.

"Are you ready?" She asks. He nods and smiles. She nods. "Good." She says, then they mound their brooms and begin playing. Lily grabs the quaffles and puts it through the goal, grinning. Hugo quickly grabs it before she can. He flies over to his goal, and puts it through. Lily grabs it, smiling. "Good job Hu!" She calls to him. He smiles.

"Thanks! You too." He says. She nods, then flies back to her goal with Hugo following her. She almost puts it through, when Hugo grabs it. He smirks, then quickly flies away as Lily chases after him, laughing. He almost puts it through the goal, when Lily tries to grab it from him. She almost succeeds, but then loses her balance, and starts to fall. His eyes widen. "Lily!" He screams as he reaches towards her. She tries to grab his hand, but falls to the ground, and hits it, hard. He quickly lands his broom then rushes over to her.

With tears in her eyes, she screams, "Mummy!" Right as she yells that, Ginny runs outside and over to them. Her eyes widen.

"What happened?!" She asks.

"I f-fell." She says and a tear rolls down her cheek. She nods. Hugo looks up at her.

"Is she okay?" He asks.

She nods. "She should be." She says, then picks her up. She carries her into the house, with Hugo trailing after her. She sits her on the counter then wipes away her tears. "Shh. It's okay, you're okay." Lily nods slightly. She turns to Hugo. "Can you get me a wet rag?" She asks. He nods, then walks off. A minute later, he comes back with a rag, and hands it to Ginny. "Thanks." She says, and he nods. She turns back to Lily, then gently wipes the blood off her knees, then off of her hands. "Are you okay?" She asks calmly.

Lily nods slightly. "Yeah. I wasn't flying to high when I fell, so I don't think I broke anything." She says, and Ginny nods. "It still hurts though.."

She nods. "I know. It will for a little bit." She says. "I'm going to go get some band aides."

"Okay." She says, then Ginny walks off. She looks down at Hugo.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

She nods. "Yeah." He nods.

"I'm sorry I couldn't grab you.."

"It's okay, you tried. It's not your fault I fell. I just lost my balance." She says. Right as she speaks, Ginny walks back into the room and over to Lily. She puts the band aids on her knees, and arms where they were scraped. Once she finishes, Lily smiles and hops off the counter. "Thanks mummy." She says. Ginny nods and smiles.

"You're welcome. Now be careful." She says, and with that, Lily and Hugo run happily outside.
