I woke up on my window seat. I forgot falling asleep there, but I stood up to go get my phone. It was nowhere to be found.
"That's weird." I thought aloud to myself.
"What is, honey?" It was my dad.
"Oh nothing, I just can't find my phone." I scratched my head. "Which is odd, because I thought it was on my nightstand."
"Hey, don't worry too much about it. I'm sure it's just in the moving truck!" He said, very cheery. "And if it's not, I'll make sure to buy you a new one, okay?"
"What do you mean moving truck?" I said panicking. "Are we leaving??"
"No sweetheart," my dad laughed heartily. "We just got here. Are you feeling alright?"
"Um yeah. What day is it."
"It's August 24," He paused to cough and I felt relieved, at least the date was still the- "1989."
"1989?" I said, saying it as more of a question than a year.
"Yeah.. has been since January. Are you sure you're feeling alright?" My dad looked a little concerned now.
"Yeah, no, I'm fine. I just had a really intense dream. that's all." My dad shrugged it off but I was terrified.
I opened my closet and ALL of my clothes were gone. it was filled with stuff that I had never seen!
"Hope!" My mom called from the kitchen, "get ready. Some boys are going to be here to give you a tour of your new school today!"New school? I'm in the house I grew up in. Maybe my dad is just pulling a really good prank on me. A really good prank.
Nonetheless, I got dressed. I put on some jean shorts, a belt, a Hawaiian shirt and I found some black converse to wear.
