Cassia and Sirius went to Dumbledores office together on Friday evening.
When Dumbledore saw Sirius, he was quite surprised."Mr Black, what a surprise! Don't you have a birthday to celebrate?" "Yes, sir, kind of. Cassia told me everything and insisted I came here with her, to make sure I believe her, wich I do anyway."
The headmaster looked at his student for a few seconds, before he turned to the student from the future. "Surprisingly, he really does believe you, even though the truth is hard to believe. I think it has something to do with his very strong feelings for you, miss Potter." Both teenagers instantly bkushed. "I may have found a way to enter the time you want to go to into the hourglass, but I'm extremely busy for the next one and a half month, so I'm afraid you'll gave to wait til Janurary to get home." "Thank you, sir"
"You don't want to be with me because you're from the future, huh?", Sirius asked. They sat on the Astronomy tower, looking at the amazing view. "Yes. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to date you. You seem like you still want to go on that date?", she said, though it was more a question than a statement.
"Yes. I don't care how little time we have left, I think every second would be worth it." He smiled lovingly at the girl in front of him. She looked deep into his grey eyes, thinking about what he'd said. "You do realise you're my fathers best friend and my brother's godfather, right?" "I do, though I try not to think about it. My subconcious doesn't really realise it, I think. Especially since you're older than your parents. I guess I'll only truly realise it at your birth." She snickered. "Probably. My subconcious doesn't fully realise they're my parents either." "And technically I'm not a godfather yet and my best friend isn't a father." "That's just what you tell yourself to get the awkwardness and weirdness away.", she laughed. "Probably.", he agreed, laughing as well.
"I'll think about it. I hope you understand, that I'll distance myself from you for a bit. You'd be a distraction in this desicion and I don't want to do anything stupid.", were Cassias last words, before she left Sirius.
Over the next few weeks she got closer to Peter and Remus, she had gotten over her hatred of Peter, as he hadn't done anything wrong yet. Still, she tried to avoid her parents, even though she had decided not to. It hurt too much, knowing that they would die soon.
Remus had noticed that Cassia distanced herself from Sirius and she had explained, that she thought about whether or not she should date him, even though she'd leave soon. For some reason, Remus encouraged her to date him. "If you really like him like that, you should date him. You may not have a lot of time together, but it may be worth every second. I don't know much about this stuff, but I think James and Lily would say the same. I think, no matter how little time they may have, they would want to spend as much of it together as possible." Cassia thought about what her future godfather had said and found herself agreeing with him.
"I guess you've decided?", Sirius asked Cassia. They sat on the astronomy tower, just like they had almost a month ago. The last days of November were freezing, but they still had decided, that the tower was the most beautiful place. "Yes, I have.", she just answered, wich was torture for Sirius. "And?" But she was silent for a while, before she sighed. "Sirius, I really like you a lot, but after much consideration and a few conversations with Remus, I've decided that it seems more like love than friendship. That's why I wanted to ask you if you'd like to go on a date with me."
Sirius' eyes glowed with joy and he jumped on his feet. "Absolutely! There's nothing I'd like to do more!"
Cassia laughed and stood up as well. "I'd love to give you that then.", she smiled.
Cassia gave Sirius a kiss on his cheek and left for the common room.Cassia and Sirius spent more and more time together, though sometimes Remus would third-wheel.
Remus became Cassia's best friend and they studied a lot together. Cassia even thought about telling him the truth, but didn't see anything to be gained from it.As christmas approached, the seventh year students got excited. There'd be a big party on christmas eve in the great hall to celebrate their last christmas in Hogwarts. It would start at 9 pm, to make sure no one younger than seventeen would attend, since there'd be a lot of alcohol involved.
Lily, Alice, Marlene and Cassia decided to go shopping for dresses two days before the party. Lily and Alice had wanted to go earlier, but Marlene and Cassia constantly forgot about it and were generally just making sure, everyone got a bit of Chaos for the holiday.
Lily had bought an emerald green dress which went past her knees. Alice had chosen a slightly light yellow dress, tge skirt ended just above her knees. Marlene had bought a red dress, which went to her knees and Cassia had chosen a dark blue dress of the same length. No decorations, just plain colours.
Lily and Alice had srarted on makeup an hour before the start of the party and Marlene fifteen minutes before. Cassia just sat there and watched, since she didn't know anything about that kind of stuff and wasn't comfortable wearing it.
Alice didn't do anything with her short hair, neither did Marlene with her long hair. Lily and Cassia just pulled back the front strands of their red hair, but Lily braided the strands.
Lily fixated her hair with a stag-doe hairclip, while Cassia used her lioness-bloodhound one.The jaws of James, Sirius and Frank dropped, when they saw their girlfriends walk down the stairs. They had chosen simple muggle suits in darker shades of the colours their girlfriends wore. They hadn't really asked each other if they wanted to go to the party as couples, it kind of just seemed obvious that they would.
