Bye, bye!

Everyone enjoyed the party. There was good music, just Cassia felt out of place because of it. She realised that everyone could tell what decade it is just from the music the teenagers listened to and it wasn't exactly her music taste.
But she still enjoyed dancing with the seventh years.

Alcohol flowed and soon everyone forgot about the divided houses. Gryffimdors and Slytherins were suddenly best friends, trying to get each other to do stupid dares, the ideas of the Ravenclaws were suddenly cool party tricks (a Ravenclaw made a sleeping draught explode purple by adding vodka and a Bezoar) and Hufflepuffs forgot to make sure everyone stayed at least halfways sober. The last one was probably not that great.

Cassia and Sirius drank a lot, both dreading the fast approach of January, when Cassia would have to leave.

"Cass! Are you alright?", Remus shouted over the music. "Y- yeah! 'M alrigh'!", she drunkenly replied and took another shot of Tequila.

After the shot, her memory went fuzzy. Cassia vaguely remembered James and Lily trying to get her into the common room, but she resisted.
She remembered making out with Sirius, but that was the last thing she remembered.

She woke up in an unfamiliar room, in an unfamiliar bed, naked.
She sat up and looked around, but that felt like Grawp punching her head. Next to her was a sleeping man and it took Cassia a second to recognize Sirius.
Her lower body hurt at it took her a minute to realise that they had probably slept together and she cursed.

A groan and a hiss from Sirius paused Cassias thoughts about where they were.
"You okay?", she asked tired, but that felt like someone screamed into her ear.
Sirius seemed to feel the same because he just exhaled loudly and held his head.

After probably an hour they got up and dressed themselves.
Cassia figured out that they had been in the Room of Requirement and Sirius had figured out that it was time for lunch.
"What are we going to tell everyone? If we tell the truth, James will beat me to peaces.", Sirius asked on their way to the great hall. "We fell asleep in the Room of Requirement, but nothing else happened. We just slept there."

Everything went smoothly and no one found out.
Cassia had gotten a silver necklace with a black dog as pendant. On the back the words No matter the time, I love you. -Sirius were engraved.
Cassia had given him a silver beacelet with a bloodhound pendant, on which the words I love you to Sirius and back. I'll miss you. -Cassia were engraved. She just had to include the star Sirius, but it was also supposed to show him how much she loved him, since Sirius was way more away than the moon.
Remus, James, Lily, Alice, Frank, Marlene and Peter had made a photoalbum for Cassia and made her promise to keep in touch and visit each other.

Cassia felt like her heart was completely shattered at the end of the day. She had told everyone that Dumbledore had found traces of her parents and that she'd probably leave soon.

Her last week went by way too fast and on the second day of Janurary, Dumbledore sent her a letter over a second year student.

Miss Potter,

I have figured out how to send you back to your time, but the hourglass won't let me change the date.
You will be sent to May first, 1998 to Yorkshire.
I'm afraid I can't do more for you.
Come to my office in two hours.

Sincerely
Albus Dumbledore

P.S.: I like chocolate Toffees

Cassia put on a fake smile and told her friends: "Dumbledore has found and contacted my parents and brother! I'll leave in two hours!"

An hour later she had packed her things and changed to a jeans, shirt, fake leather jacket and sport shoes, ready to do anything when she returned.

Cassia and Sirius sat by the lake and stared into the black water.
Sirius took something out of his pocket. "I want you to have this. It's a family heirloom. I took it with me when I left, mainly to piss off my parents, but I want you to have it. I thought about giving it to Regulus, but he wouldn't accept it. Remember me, but move on.", he told her close to tears. Cassia started crying too. "I will, I promise. I won't forget you, but I- I will try to move on." Sirius smiled slightly. "I'm dead, aren't I? In your time?", he asked softly.

Cassia just nodded. She couldn't get herself to answer that horrible question. Sirius just hugged her.
He gave her the ring of the Black family.

They sat there for another hour, in each others arms, silently.

Their friends ran up to them. "Cass! It's time!", James shouted. She got up and faced them.

First, she hugged Peter. "I'll miss you, Peter, you're a great listener. Try not to get anyone killed. Those idiots will probably try to kill themselves by going into the front lines. Would you look after them for me?", Cassia asked, trying not to choke laughing at her words. But, Peter nodded. He didn't want his friends to die and Cassia understood, how her parents could have trusted him. She almost did herself.

"I'll miss you, Marlene. Be careful." "You too. Your family seems to attract death eaters." The girls hugged tightly.

"Frank, Alice, I'm sure you will be legendary Aurors. I'll visit you as soon as possible.", Cassia promised, hugging the two. "Unless we visit you first.", Frank laughed. Cassia chuckled sadly, knowing, they wouldn't be able to.

James pulled her into a tight hug. "Don't forget to write us as many letters as possible. I'll miss you." "I'll miss you too, Prongs. And I'll visit you and Lily. Though I might not be able to finish school before your wedding.", she said grinning. James playfully punched her. He hadn't even proposed yet.

"Look after yourself, Moony. And remember: no good person will judge you because of your furry little problem. Those who do don't deserve your time. I know you'll find a wife someday. Don't push her away. She'll love you.", Cassia said, crushing a shocked Remus in her hug. He hadn't told her about his lycanthropy.

Cassia and Lily hugged tightly. "Thank you, for everything, mum.", Cassia wispered, before turning to Sirius.
Lily looked at her irritated, but not denying.

Sirius hugged Cassia tightly, both were crying. "I'll miss you. I love you. Whatever it takes, I will protect you and Harry." "I'll miss you too. I will not let your death be in vain. We'll defeat Voldemort once and for all. I love you, Sirius."

They shared a long, last kiss, before Cassia went to Dumbledores office.
