The only thing we have left to wrap up is what happened to everyone.
Wes and Marie got married in 1983 and moved to Venice Beach. They had two kids together and stayed together.
Dad married Rosaline in October 1978 and the financial struggles stopped after that. They ended up adopting a 16 year old kid named Daryl. The three lived in happiness.
A month after the incident, Don's family moved away. I never knew what happened to him after that. He did mail me things like birthday presents and letters for a while. They stopped eventually. We never really got along but I knew I'd miss him.
Dale joined the military right after we graduated. I only saw him on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Occasionally he would show up out of the blue. It was a rarity
Luther moved away to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1981. I never saw him again after that. He never sent anything in the mail or anything to reach out to me or anyone else. I have no clue if he's alive or not.
Fred and Manny never married. They were pursued relentlessly by bigots and other kinds of thugs. The last I ever heard of them was that Fred was arrested for beating a thug within an inch of his life. I have no clue what ever happened to them after that.
Jerry ended up sticking around until after high school. He went off to college afterward. He got a job working as a teacher.
Denise never talked to me after that, neither did Mr. Davis. I don't know why but I'll never forget them and all the good they did me. Denise ended up having a kid with Lars but I don't know if they're even together anymore.
Officer Walsh died of a heart attack in 1980. He served as a cop ever since the late 50s. His passing affected Donnelly the most.
Officer Donnelly left the police force and Los Angeles in 1981. He has never been seen or heard from since.
Porter went missing in 1987. His car was found abandoned in the woods with only his shirt and a note stating that he wanted to remain unfound and that he had to disappear. However, he returned in 1989.
Brian and Anthony charged with murder and were sentenced to life in prison. Brian had a possibility for parole but Anthony didn't. They explained that Brian only shot one guy, who died from his wounds a day later and Anthony killed two people instantly. Anthony died in 1991 during a prison riot. Brian was approved parole in 1996. Last I heard, he lives in an apartment and works at a shipping warehouse.
Officer Lena Mackenzie left the police force in 1984 and started to work as a hair stylist of all things.
Last but not least, me. I moved across the street from Dad a year after I graduated. I managed to officially become a police officer in 1986. In 1988, Lena Mackenzie and I got married. Wes was my best man and Marie was the maid of honor. As of now, Lena and I are still happy together.
In May of 1997, I was at Dad's house when there was a knock at the door. Dad and I both answered it to see a boy about fifteen or sixteen.
"Is this where George Davidson lives?" He asked.
"Yes." Dad answered. "That'd be me, who's asking?"
"I'm Jonathan, your nephew. You've been expecting me."
"Oh yes. Come in."
After all was settled, one of the Chinese kids that Dad keeps around for help came in. He and Johnathan started talking immediately. Then I heard it.
"Oh man. You are gonna love LA, Johnathan."
Oh Jonathan was sure in for a hell of a ride.
