(Greek)μητέρα=mother
(Greek)καληνυχτα=good night"Greece, come here." The country of Ancient Greece called her son over.
"Coming, μητέρα." The young boy hollered back at his mother. As he entered the room he pushed with all of his might to open the big, heavy door. He stopped to take a breath and let it out sharply. He grumpily repeated the action from opening the doors earlier to close it. He sloppily turned around with his head lowered in exhaustion. He finally raised his head to look at his mother but was caught, almost involuntary, by the view of a young girl a few years older than him (physically), standing next to his mother. He was wide eyed and awestruck, he didn't know who this was or why she was there, he's never seen her before but she sent a blaze of shyness to his young heart.
The standing and staring was starting to become uncomfortable, bordering rude and all that Heracles could think was, "...Aphrodite." Faintly whispered from his subconscious to his mouth.
The young girl, (Y/N)'s, eyes widened with slight confusion and flattery. She just covered a portion of her mouth with the tips of the fingers of her delicately draped hand. She turned toward the older woman who looked both surprised and amused at her son's choice of expression and her face turned warm as she chuckled lightheartedly before explaining the situation.
"No, this is(C/N). Her mother, (M/C), sent her here for studying and to improve country relations. She has already been spending some time with a couple of other countries. In fact, she just arrived here after spending time with France due to their similarity in age and development. I wanted to introduce you two since she will be here for a while, I hope you both will be friends...say hello Greece." The mother warmly explained the circumstances and requested her son to say something more welcoming than his earlier phrase.
The boy looked down towards his fiddling fingers, blushing, before gathering his courage to greet his person of new found admiration. Embarrassedly, he looked up with his head held steadily and eyes square with hers. "It's nice to meet you, (C/N). Please feel welcomed here." His voice wasn't as unshaken as his, now calm, face but it was still gentle. In fact he was so quiet that she almost couldn't hear his mumbles but managed to figure it out.
You accepted his welcome gracefully and offered your thanks. His mother turned to you and offered to show you around. You abided her hospitality and fallowed as she lead the way. While passing through the door you peeked out of the corner of your eye and noticed Greece looking at you with concentration. Surprised, both of you looked away as you excited the room with his mother.
Throughout the tour provided, you could feel the innocent stares of curiosity on you. No matter where you went you felt it from the people in the town, which you understood, but you couldn't figure out why the feeling persisted while you were indoors when nobody but Ancient Greece was around. You took a glance around you while Ancient Greece was showing you the fountain in the garden. As you did this, you caught the glimmer of green eyes and radiant cheeks sneakily peeping around the corner. You smiled, recognizing him as Greece, which frightened him off and back around the corner. You thought it was cute and funny and being aware of the situation now took every chance you could to spot the boy fallowing you. Throughout the rest of your day with Ancient Greece your game would always yield the same result: him running away with embarrassment only to return later.
The day finally came to a tiring end and as you walked by yourself to your place of rest you passed a loud room in a portion of the building you couldn't remember. You were curious as to who would be arguing and discussing so much at this hour and decided to take a peek, regardless of consequences. Rounding the corner to the stairs towards the door, you almost trampled a softly sleeping Greece who was half propped on the wall and half dripping down the stairs with a small collection of felines draped all around. You saw he was close to the slightly ajar door which revealed a room full of philosophers and scholars debating. You smiled and proceeded to pick up the boy and carry him to a nearby bench and gingerly lay him down. Moving a few strands of hair off of his face you turned to walk away only to be stopped by a small collection of fingers wrapping themselves around the skirt of your dress.
"καληνυχτα, Aphrodite."
