Think: What does the setting in which your story takes place look like?

Exercise: In a chapter of your book, describe the landscape of your world. If your world is narrow in focus, describe the layout of the setting such as where the furniture in the room is located.

For example, maybe your setting is a spaceship. What does the spaceship look like? Is it like a classic rocket? A flying saucer? The Enterprise? How many decks does it have? What kind of engines? What does the bridge look like? Choose the features that have significance to you and describe them.
