You were starting to get bored and just got back from getting some snacks from the kitchen. Just as your back hit the soft surface of your bed, your phone started ringing loudly

You got up and checked the ID

"It's Gowon" you say and smile to yourself.

You and Gowon were best friends since middle school and were known to be the cutest pair of dummies in town. Your school mates would call you two by the nickname
"Dummies" when they saw you walking together. You liked her but she would just think it's a joke so you never told her your feelings. You just joked around with her and that's it

"Hiiiiii y/n! It's your crunchy snack Gowon"
Gowon says in a cringy tone

"Ew. Bye" you jokingly said

"No y/n. I'm not letting you go. Your mine" she says and bursts out laughing.

"Gowon I think you need to stop watching dramas" you say and open up a packet of your favorite crackers

You were munching on the crackers when you heard Gowon question you

"Hey, y/n. What's a really nice thing that starts with an 'J' ?" She asks and immediately an answer popped up

"Oh I know. Jinsouls Ass" you say and you start laughing so hard you kind of choked on your crackers

You hear Gowon snort and she asks you another question

"Nice one. Okay one more question!
Would you rather date a guy or a girl?" She asks you.

Should you tell her you like her? Ahh No.
Just tell her you'd date a guy y/n.

"A guy. Duh, I'm not lesbian Gowon" you say and the funny atmosphere that was there had faded away

"Oh. Well guess what y/n?" She says
"I'd rather date you" she says and you knew she was joking but you couldn't hide how happy you felt as the corner of your lips rose up.

"Fuck it. Yeah I'd rather date girls" you say and laugh

"Girls are all gay deep inside" Gowon says and adds a "It's getting late, I'll talk to you later"

"Wait! Gowon" you say in a rushed tone

You have to tell her now or never. She might not think it's a joke

"What is it my crunchy pickle?" She asks and laughs over the nickname she gave you

It did kind of feel weird to say it out loud, but you pushed every bit of pride you had away and managed to say

"I love you Gowon" you say and hide you face and blush as you can't believe you just said that.

It took all your confidence and pride to say that one word but you kind of felt empty when you noticed she thought it was a joke and laughed. She simply said

" I know "

Will she ever understand your true feelings without thinking it's a joke?
