Although it was surprising to see two people shared the first rank, everyone soon became excited.

As time passed, everyone started to stagger and when they were about to faint, the mage finally stopped his spell.

With his hands clasped behind his back, the mage had a smile on his face as he said, "Round 2 is finished."

Only a handful of people figured out the truth behind this second test.

The mage's spell was simple.

The magic stone on the target would do a quick scanning on their conditions and the score would be given according to it.

Once again, the leaderboard score reappeared. This time there were a total of 5 people who got a perfect score and unsurprisingly, the two familiar names once again stuck close to each other at the topmost.

The final round tested their strength and once again those two tied in the first rank.

Everyone began to suspect that these two were actually planning this together to humiliate them!

To be honest, Shi Shen didn't expect to get the same overall score as the male lead either. Although he didn't plan to lose, he also didn't want to steal the latter's spotlight either.

Except for the first round, the other two's highest score was 10. Artemis would definitely get a perfect score in both of them so Shi Shen tried to get a lot of scores from the first round than adjusted his score in the latter two to be the same as him.

Leo, the first examiner stepped up once again,"Those who have their names shown on the screen mean that you have passed the entrance exam thereby admitted to the Academy. The opening ceremony will be held 1 week from now on so make sure to come and get the uniform and your entry card 3 days from now on."

He paused a bit then he suddenly smiled,"For now, can I invite our two winners to the stage to receive the rewards?"

Those who were still presented in the room begin to stir up with his statement. Their eyes were glued to the stage wanting to see how those two actually looked like.

Not long after, they saw a small boy with waist-length jet black hair wearing an exquisite black robe slowly walked toward the stage.

His ruby eyes looked emotionless as he stared from the top of the stage while his skin was pale as snow so he looked just like a doll!

However, no one dared to say anything to him.

Black hair, red eyes, they were characteristics of the royal family!

He was the Crown Prince ah!

Seeing how small he was, everyone's face immediately turned green. They actually lost to this girly boy?

While they were grieving, steady footsteps were soon echoed in this silent hall.

Everyone immediately held their breath and looked forward to their hero's appearance only to be doused by cold water once they saw another young boy unhurriedly walked to the stage.

However, seeing that the other person just gave him a polite nod acting like they were strangers, Artemis slightly frown.

Shi Shen did not bother to give him another glance, he simply received his reward and directly walked out once it was over.

He has just exited the room when a voice suddenly sounded from behind him,"Wait."

Shi Shen turned around to smile at him,"Do you need something?"

Artemis directly asked,"Three months ago, did you happen to save someone?"

After hearing this question, Shi Shen had on a puzzled look then faintly answered,"Three months ago, I just arrived in the capital. I rarely went out during those months."

Hearing this, Artemis slightly pursed his lips. After another while, he said,"Pardon, I got the wrong person."

Shi Shen just smiled back at him then turned around to go look for his family.

"Why didn't you tell him that you are his savior?"

Shi Shen simply raised an eyebrow at his question,"What for?"

He Tian was rendered speechless with his question so he asked,"If so, why did you bother helping him back then?"

In return, Shi Shen just lightly shook his head and made no heed to answer his question.

Howth has been waiting at the gate for all this time. Although he knew that it would be impossible for his son to fail, he was still feeling anxious whenever he saw a bunch after another of teenagers walked out of the gate with gloomy faces.

After waiting for the second bunch to come out and his son was still nowhere to be seen, he finally felt at ease and kept waiting at the entrance with his daughter.

He was not the only who wait here for his son, there were a lot of other parents who had their faces brim with excitement once they knew that their children have reached the final round.

Unsurprisingly, most of them were people with a title so Howth who was a commoner looked particularly out of the place.

Of course, some people couldn’t stay still and made some sarcastic comments,’’I say, this is the best a commoner could go so I think you should think of how to comfort your son instead.’’

Howth just gave him a dispassionate glance without saying anything so that person just coldly snorted and went back to stare at the gate.

Since Artemis exited the academy through the backdoor, Shi Shen became the last person to come out.

Upon spotting his family, he immediately broke into a big grin, he excitedly waved his hand,’’Dad! I got first place!’’

His voice was quite loud so everyone presented can hear this and once they saw that the golden hair boy actually ran to a commoner they instantly turned to their children for confirmation to which they instantly got a nod in return.

Therefore, those who had looked down on Howth felt like they had slapped themselves a thousand times right in the face!

A commoner actually outdid them!

It was not a secret that the nobles had a lot of resources for their children and hired the best instructor to train them so it was unavoidable that commoners wouldn’t stand a chance against them. That’s why losing to a commoner was a huge humiliation to them!

Howth felt his eyes suddenly became hot upon seeing his son excitedly ran to him. His son was young so he might not understand how much pride did he bring to him once he said those words out loud.

Did Shi Shen really not know? Of course, he knew this that’s why he said it out loud.

Howth deserved to enjoy those envies from them and he would make sure that he wouldn’t need to work hard from now on.

Shi Shen acted like he did nothing incredible and immediately showed the spatial ring to him,’’Look, I got this as a reward!’’

Seeing Howth’s shocked face, Shi Shen quickly used the needle that he had prepared beforehand to prick his finger to let it dropped on the ring.

The ring exuded a faint light then quickly became normal again. It had acknowledged Howth as its owner so unless he died, no one could use this ring.

Shi Shen’s action was unexpected and too fast that Howth failed to react only to come back once the process has already ended, he angrily said,’’Why you give this to me?!’’

Wouldn’t he look stupid to actually take his 10 years old son’s stuff?!

In return, Shi Shen just shrugged his shoulders then spoke with a benevolent expression,’’I fear that once I’m gone, you will have a hard time living in the capital.’’

Howth hatefully gnashed his teeth,’’When did you ever earn money and give it to me?’’

Shi Shen arrogantly raised his chin then spoke in a confident voice,’’Look inside.’’

Howth gave him a snort then used his consciousness to look inside the ring and he soon became stupefied.

The young girl giggled,‘’Yay, My big brother is the best!’’

Shi Shen was not worried about someone coming after Howth to kill him just to get the spatial ring. Since he was someone who was considered to be precious to the Academy, they would make sure that his and his family’s safety was their utmost priority.

This was also another reason that Shi Shen wanted to get first place.

He couldn’t gain money in such a short time and he also couldn’t stay with them after being admitted so he took this shortcut to assure that Howth and Clarice wouldn’t face any hardships while living in the capital.

That night, Howth was too excited that he drank too much and became wasted.

And Shi Shen refused to clean him up.

1 week quickly passed. Shi Shen arrived at the academy in his black uniform. He turned to bid farewell at his family and finally strode in.

Today was the opening ceremony so there were a lot of people at the entrance. By now, the shocking result of the freshman year in the Swordsman department has already spread to every corner of the school.

During the first 3 years, the uniform was black while the next 4 years would be white so seeing a child wore a black uniform, it was clear as day to who he might be.

It had to be mentioned that being one of the love interests, Seth Stewart’s look was extraordinary but since he was a 10 years old child, he just looked adorable so everyone was having a hard time believing that he actually came first in the entrance exam.

He told the manager of the dormitory his name and got a key in return. In this world, they also had something like an elevator which ran by magic but in order to train the students, they didn’t install this in the building except for the one belonging to the upper-class.

Shi Shen stopped in front of the elevator and amusedly raised an eyebrow. He said nothing and got in.

According to the tag number, his room was on the top floor. Once he arrived he quickly found his room and got in.

There was only one word to describe the room: Luxurious.

Shi Shen’s expression didn’t change even one bit as he walked in to unpack. While he was organizing his stuff, the door suddenly opened.

He turned around to see his roommate and he really saw the person that he had long expected to see.
