Chapter Two

"Jai! It's freaking 3rd period and it's math!" I yell as me and Jai is running down the empty hallway in search of room 223 where we will most likely find a really pissed of Mr. Johnson.

"It's going to be fine! I'll make something up to cover for us" He says.

We finally get to room 223 and Jai knocks at the door before we walk in. All the pupils turn around and look at us as well as Mr. Johnson, who I may add hates me. I dont really know why though, I've got straight A's and I always does my homework.

"Well, well, well... Ms. Marsie Williams and Mr. Jaiden Kyle. Can you explain why your not only late to class, but also late to school in general?" Mr. Johnson's strict voice said.

"Uhm.. uh... err" I started, but Jai quickly saved me.

"It's my fault. I uhm.. had to go to the toilet" Jai says stupidly. Some of the pupils started giggling.

Facepalm. I'm literally facepalming so hard right now.

"The toilet you say? You were on the toilet for 2 and a half hour?" Mr. Johnson said skeptic. Again more giggles.

"Yeah? I got diarrhea on the way here, but calm down its over now" This is why I love Jai, he can say something super embarrassing but never gets embarrassed.

Now the whole class started laughing and even I began to giggle.

"QUIET!" Mr. Johnson yelled and the whole class shut quiet. "Well that gives you a reason to be late, what about Marsie?"

What!? How come Mr. Johnson let him go with his terrible excuse!? Oh, probably because every single teacher loves him, you know as the best player in the soccer team.

"Well you see..." Jai began.

"No, I want her to respond." Mr. Johnson said with a evil smile.

What a douche of a teacher.

"I uhm... you see... I..." I said shyly. I could feel my cheeks heat up and I could feel all the pupils stare at me. "I skipped school" I whispered.

Okay, okay maybe I am a little miss goodie two shoes, but that's just me. I'm shy and nerdy.

"Aha, you skipped school" Mr. Johnson said loudly "Detention room after school."

"Ok" I whispered and walked over to my seat next to Jai.

"Dude, why didn't you say it was my fault?" Jai whispered.

"You know I'm a terrible liar" I whispered annoyed.

"Hey, technically you wouldn't be lying, after all it really was my fault" Jai tried to joke.

"Just shut up" I whispered back.

"It's going to be fine!" Tammy said and hugged me.

I wont lie I'm terrified of detention. You cant blame me though, who knows who can be there?

"Oh my god what if their going to kill me!? Jai this is all your fault!" I whined.

"Marsie chill out. It's going to be fine" Jai says and pull me into a hug. "And even if they are going to kill you, I'll kick their balls" He says making all three of us laugh.

Riiing

The school bell rang. Detention time..

"Bye bae!" Tammy said as she and Jai started to walk.

Crap.

I started to walk towards the detention room as the rest of the school was on their way home. Lucky them, lucky Tam, lucky Jai. Unlucky me.

I reached Detention room and walked in. There were about 5 people in the room, one being a snoring old man of a teacher. I was about to go wake him up when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around quickly to look at a chest. I looked up a little and saw the most beautiful boy I've ever seen.

"Don't wake him up" He says rudely.

I just nodded and studied his gorgeous face. He was tan with black messy hair and green eyes any girl would die for.

"You done checking me out yet shorty?" He say cockily. Making my whole face turn violet. I turn around quickly and walk over to a free seat.

Shorty? I'm not that short am I? I mean how tall am I, 5ft 3inches? Its not that short is it? Okay maybe just a little. But I don't rea- hey what does it matter what he says? I don't even know his name.

"I'm not short" I say surprising myself.

"Oh she talks" he says with a mischievous smirk.

"Mhm... I do and I don't think its okay for you to call me short!" I say and stand up. Oh my lord, when did I get so confident.

"I can say whatever I want shorty" he says and walk towards me. I can feel the other pupils glare at our little argument.

I walk further back for every step closer he comes. I hit the wall and he stood right in front of me. He smelled so good, like forest and uh... manliness. He was only a few inches away from me and looked down at me. I could feel my heart beating faster and my cheeks turning pink.

"Name is Carter Black, don't forget it" he said before he turned around and walked out of the room, leaving me embarrassed and confused.

I walked into my house "Hello?" I said. No answer. Good mom is'nt home yet, that means she wont-

"MARSIE WILLIAMS!" A strict voice yells, I turn around to look at my mom. Shoot... "Can you please explain what this is!?" She says and show me her phone, a email from my school...

"Uhm.. you know..." I started but my mom quickly interrupted me.

"YOU GOT DETENTION!? FOR BEING 2 AND A HALF HOUR LATE FOR SCHOOL!?" My mom yelled. Oh my god...

"I'm so sorry mom, it wont happen again!" I say nervous.

"It better not, if this happens again you'll be grounded till your 45 years old!" She says.

"Yes, I promise" I say and look down at my feet. "Am I in trouble?" I ask quietly.

"Hmm... no, but just because this has never happened before, but we're going to have a serious talk in your room after dinner." She says before she walk in to the kitchen.

Well it could have been worse...

I walk up to my bedroom and toss my backpack in my bed. I take out my math book and sit down with my desk and start with my homework.

Suddenly I hear the door opening and I turn around.

"Heard you got in trouble" my brother Matthew says with a mischievous smirk.

"Get lost" I mumble and turn around again to continue with my homework.

"2 and a half hour... That's pretty late you know." He say in a mocking tone.

"Just go out okay!?" I say annoyed. Cant that annoying prick just leave!?

"Oh... don't be mad lil sis" he mocks. "So, what did you and your boyfriend do?" He say playfully.

I turn around quickly. "He is not my boyfriend! Now get out you dick!" I yell at him.

"Wow, chill out sis. I'm just asking" He says and walk out of my room laughing.

Why cant I just have a nice older brother?
