I opened my one of my cassette tapes and popped it into the player. I get tired of always hearing the rink's music. It always reminded me of him and I try so hard to act cool.

I sit around during my shifts passing those dingy white rental skates out to everyone. I try not to hope and await on his arrival.

I hear my music but nothing helps because everything reminds me of him. His soft pink lips. His blonde hair making the perfect curtains for his brown orbs. Looking at his well built body I want to just hold on tight to him.

I walk around doing my small tasks switching around my tapes listening deeply to the music that is blasting into my ears.

I go behind the counter and I read a magazine. Maybe that will help pass time for my shift quicker. Then all of a sudden in the middle of my reading someone says,
"Excuse me, can I get a size ten?"

With the start of his words, I get shook. I always get surprised when he starts talking but I must play it cool. There he is standing in front of me with his bag. I always wondered what was inside of it. I think he should invest in some skates of his own since he comes here so often.

I walk over to the shelves containing all the skates looking for his size. After about five seconds I grab a pair in the size he requested. I sat them up on the counter with a smile for him to grab.

"How are you feeling today?" I asked him.
"I'm actually pretty good today." He responded." They have you working the late shift again?"
"You know it." I say to him looking him in the eye.

After my comment he smiled and looked me in the eye. With that look he grabs his skates waving at me. He walked away and that was the closing of the conversation.

I picked up my magazine again facing my head towards the many words or celebrity gossip but my eyes drifted over to that man. He was sitting on a bench lacing up his skates. I saw this and went under the counter and there was my backpack.

In the bag my was my Nokia digital camera in blue. I watched him get up and skate his way over to the wooden rink. I started up my camera and it was ready for action. I was secretly snapping picture is him going around and around in the rink.

Oh did I hope I got some decent shots. I felt I did well. I mean I'm sure I had to get some decent photos as I had been a it for about thirty minutes. I grabbed the cord for the camera and I plugged it up to the computer we had for work.

I closed out the tab I had for solitaire. I was about to lose the game anyway. I saw about fifty pictures and a handful of them were blurry. Looking past those blurry shots I got a couple of golden ones. My favorite one was a clear shot of his face. He looked perfect to me.

As the night goes on I ended up on a break. I put on my personal pair of skates that i had and I took off to the rink. I saw him going around and eventually I caught up with him. With me passing him up he fell over.

I stopped and turned around watching other skaters pass me by. I helped him up with a warm smile on my face. The man smiled and seem comforted when he saw my face. Maybe this is my ticket into having a nice conversation with him.

"Thank you..." he trailed off noticing who I was attempting to reading my name tag "Vivi."
I smiled at now messed up hair and fix it for him. His hair felt so soft and fluffy and it looked so dreamy.

"Since you are on break or something do you want to skate an]round with me since you are so much of a pro?" He asked me grabbing my hand
"I'd love to do it." I replied.
I slowly started to take off to give him an indication that we are starting to move because I didn't want him falling over anymore.

For those fifty or so minutes I felt so great. I learned that his name was Jason. He was an ok skater but you could tell that he was not at ease on the rink with all the people passing by. Within that night he learned to trust me. My shift was over and I had to go. I got back in my regular shoes strapping them up.
I packed my bag with my camera and skates and I left out. I had Jason's number but I didn't want him t hmm was cling by texting him too fast. On my walk to the bust stop all I could think about was out night together. Him and his body was imbedded into my mind.
The darkness seemed so much less scarier to me with the thought of him, being a smile to my face. He did say text hm soon so maybe I should just let him know that this is my number texting him so he can save my contact.

I took out my phone and I brought up his number.
"hey this is vivi from the skating rink. I was wondering if you wa-"

Out of nowhere my whole world became dark.
