Mum."
No answer.
"Mum."
Still no answer.
"MUM."
"WHAT CHILD?!"
"Can I rent John Wick?"
"Why? Your father and I have already seen it."
"But I haven't!"
"Oh boohoo, ask him when we get home. I'm pretty sure the first one was free on Amazon, is it still?"
I shook my head, "No, both you can rent for $3.99. Each."
Mum sighed, "Ask your father when we get home. Then we will talk. You do realise that renting both of those movies will cost about $8, right?"
I nodded, "Perfectly aware."
Mum sighed, heavily. We kept driving, but that's when she started talking again. Almost every sentence that came out of her mouth was either a joke about John Wick, or finding someway to torment me about how she watched John Wick and I didn't.
"MUUUUUUUM! You are NOT funny!"
"I know," she said proudly, "But I'm getting great enjoyment out of this."
She smirked at me.
Oh how I missed her, my dad too. Both I loved so dearly, I missed them so much. It hurt.
