Chapter 5

Austin's POV

The only reason I'm in choir isn't because my mom said it would be a good idea. It's because I actually like singing.

"So", Alexis said. I forgot that she was right next to me.

"So", I said she smiles up at.

"What", I said.

"Your just so weird around me, why", she said.

"I don't know, I barely know you", I said.

"Okay, what do you wanna know about me", she asked. I was shocked.

"Why are you in choir", I asked.

"It's fun",she said smiling.

"Why, it's just singing", I said trying to make it sound like it wasn't important to me.

"It's not just singing. It makes me feel free and somewhere safe where no one will judge me", she said closing her eyes. "And that's why I'm in choir", she added.

I stayed silent as we walked to the room. I just thought about the feeling I got when she looked at me.

Alexis' POV

*after school*

I take my time getting out of the classroom. I wasn't in any hurry. I just had to walk home. Taylor texted me during class reminding me that she was working and wasn't gonna give me a ride home. I walk to my locker and open it. Put all my books and things in my locker. I was closing my locker as someone taped my shoulder. I look and see it Austin. I smile at him.

"Hey Ms. Singer", he said.

"Hi", I said as a giggled at the name he game me a name.

"So you are coming over for the party right", he asked.

"Yes, I will", I said and we started walking towards the school doors.

"What are ya gonna do until then", he asked jumping up and down.

"First, are you on some kind of jumpy drugs and second, probably sleep or eat", I said.

"Ha ha so funny", he said throwing his arms up in the air.

"I know right", I said laughing.

We walk out and we go our sprat ways. I get out my headphones so I can walk and listen to music so time will go by faster. I started walking toward my house and I hear a car honk at me. I look and see its Austin.

"Hey Alexis do you need a ride", he asked before driving out of the school parking lot.

"I'm good", I said.

"Come on get in the car", he said pulling up to the side walk.

"Okay, thanks Austin", I said walking over to the passenger side. I get in and buckle up. We start driving and I just sit there awkward. He turns up the radio. The song Amnesia by 5 seconds of summer. I look over at him. Then he starts singing.

"Come on Alexis, sing with me", he said.

"Fine", I said.
