Getting Ready!

Chapter 26

Alexis' POV

*a half an hour before the dance*

I was messing with my make up. I couldn't make it look perfect. It has to be. I'm going with Austin. He's popular and people will judge me if I don't look good.

The door bell rang I ran down to the door to see Sarah. She's a cop. I laughed a little. I didn't expect her to be a cop.

"What's so funny", she said and closed the door.

"I don't know", I said.

"I like your outfit", she said in awe.

"Oh thanks. I like yours too", I said.

"Is Austin going as Mickey", she asked.

"I'm not sure what he's going as. He said he wasn't gonna tell me if I wouldn't tell him. Is Alex going as a prisoner", I said.

"Not sure", she said.

"Well the guys are getting ready at Austin's and I still have to work on my make up. So if you want you can watch tv or come upstairs with me", I said.

"I'll stay down here. And your makeup looks fine", she said as I ran upstairs.

*5 minutes later*

The door bell rang and I was guessing it was Austin and Alex. I ran down the stairs to see a Micky and a prisoner.

"OMG", I said.

They both looked at me and Austin was in awe. I giggled at him.

"My eyes are up here Mahone", I said and laughed.

"You guys ready", Alex said taking Sarah's hand.

"Um yeah", Sarah said looking over at me making sure I was ready.

"Yeah let's go", I said as Austin took my arm and walked me to his car.

"We'll see you guys there", Alex said.

"Why aren't we going with them", I said as he opened the door for me.

"We are gonna come back here and we are both leaving at different times. So I decided we should go separate", he said and closed me door. He got in and started the car. I turned up the music and looked out the window.

He turned it down. I looked over at him. "Why did you turn it down", I asked.

"What's wrong Alexis", he asked looked over at me quick then looked back at the road.

"I don't know, I guess I nervous", I said.

"Why", he asked.

"Because people judge, they judge me because I'm with you. Someone who everyone likes", I said.

"Alexis, I'm not gonna let that happen. You look better than pizza and you know pizza is pretty sexy", he said. Making me laugh. I smile over at him then look back out the window.

Austin is the only person that I know that can make me feel special. But in reality I'm not. He is, someone that no one else could ever be.
