Five days later, Rosalie was helping Hoseok pack his things for the tour. When she went to pick up his books from the living room, she ran into Namjoon in the hallway and he asked if he could talk to her for a minute. He pressed something small and cold into her hand.
He said, "I wanted to give you a key for the dorm. You can use the laundry room or the TV or, really, if you want to stay here while we're gone, you can."
Whatever he wanted to say next obviously embarrassed him, because he hid his face behind his hands.
"Also, um...four days after we get back...uh...I have to go to a charity event. I was wondering if you would want to go with me? Before you answer, though, you should know it's a formal event."
Rosalie answered, "Really? Me? I would love to go with you, Namjoon. Thank you!"
"Great!" His smile was so big, his dimples popped.
Namjoon told her good-bye, even though they weren't leaving for two more days. He hugged her a long time and told her he was going to miss her.
Rosalie noticed Hoseok watching them from the doorway. When she went back to his room, he seemed tense and things were awkward between them because of it.
Suga and Jin were in the living room when they heard shouting coming from down the hallway. Startled, they looked at each other wide-eyed. What was happening? Hoseok and Rosalie had never fought with each other before.
The shouting got louder as Rosalie grabbed her things and marched toward the front door, with Hoseok following her.
He shouted, "I am so not jealous! I don't even know why you'd think that. You're not that important to me!"
Stunned, Rosalie stopped short and, with her hands on her hips, stood toe to toe with him.
"Oh, I'm not?" She exploded, poking him in the chest, "Good to know! Who the hell do you think you are anyway? Do you think I tolerate that kind of disrespect from insecure little boys?"
Hoseok suddenly realized how angry she was and tried to diffuse the situation, "I didn't mean it like that, honey. I was just trying to give you some advice back there."
"You weren't giving me advice; you were giving me orders! The only one in this house that can do that is Jin oppa, as he is the only one older than I am!" she said, shoving him. "And you don't get to call me honey anymore!"
"Who I spend my time with is none of your business, because, as you love to tell everyone we know, you are not my boyfriend!"
She opened the front door to leave. Hoseok rubbed the back of his neck in frustration. "Wait, please! You're not leaving, are you? Can't we talk about this?" pleaded Hoseok.
With a scornful look at him, she walked out the door and slammed it in his face. Hoseok started to go after her, but Suga stopped him. He grabbed his car keys and ran after Rosalie.
"Hey! Hold up. I'll give you a ride home."
It wasn't a very long ride to Rosalie's apartment, but the stony silence in the car made the ride seem longer. Instead of dropping her off, Suga went inside with Rosalie. She dropped her things in a chair and collapsed onto the couch. Her silence was louder than anything Suga had ever heard before. He sat down next to her and waited briefly before he spoke.
"You know you can talk to me, right?"
Rosalie continued to stare at her hands, fidgeting in her lap. Suga gently picked up one hand and held it while he waited for her to open up to him.
Quietly, he asked her, "Rosalie, what happened?"
"I don't know. It happened so fast. I can't believe I let my anger get the best of me like that. I'm not like that, ever," she answered.
