"Fuck! Slow down!"|
1995
Running out of Estee's house to catch up to Ray, as he angrily stormed out of her house after catching Fuck shit and I making out, in her room. "Ray!" I continued to call, as he continued to speed walk away from me. "What!" He exclaimed, finally stopping and turning towards me. "What could you possibly want!" He exclaimed, even louder.
My mouth dropped open at his sudden tone. My plump bottom lip tucked between my teeth, as I took in Rays appearance. Baggy striped t-shirt, baggy jeans, and a pair of old Jordan's, worn out from skating. His dreads framing his face perfectly. "I-I'm sorry Ray!" I exclaimed, stomping my left foot on the ground, as tears poured from my brown eyes. Hot tears continued to cascade down my brown cheeks, as I became even more frustrated with my current predicament.
"I love you Ray! I'm in love with you!" I exclaimed, my voice cracking in the process. Ray shook his head, not believing a word that spilled from my lips. "Ray I love you!" I spoke again, as I began repeating that same sentence over and over, as I walked closer to him. "I love you." I sobbed out as I gripped onto his shirt tightly, burying my face into his chest.
"How can you love me, yet treat me like shit." Ray spoke, just barely above a whisper after moments of silence between us. "How can you love me, yet still do things with him that your supposed to do with me?" Ray questioned, releasing me from his grasp.
"I'm sorry Ray, I'm sorry. I'm a piece of shit!" I exclaimed, sitting down on the cold hard concrete, as tears once again pooled in my eyes. "I've been treated like shit in all of my relationships, and when someone real comes along I treat them like shit." I chuckled bitterly, wiping the tears that poured from my eyes. Ray took a seat next to me, looking over at me in the dim lighting, from the street lights that aligned the streets.
"Do you love me, or him?" Ray questioned, a pained expression adorned his handsome face, as the words left his lips. "I-I love you." I spoke barely above a whisper. "Well if you truly love me, you need to show it." And with that Ray got up and left me. Alone sitting on the sidewalks of one of LA's residential neighborhoods, as tears cascaded down my face. How could I show Ray that he isn't just a toy to me.
