Prologue
"Ah~ this is getting boring." The 18-year old high school student whispered while he scrolled through his phone, reading the message of one of his friends telling him about the ethics homework they need to pass tomorrow.
"Being a high school student in this country sucks! Going to school then head straight home after classes. Not to mention the occasional study sessions that go beyond school hours." He thought to himself as he walked on the same street he takes to get back home.
It's dark now because it's already past 9 o'clock in the evening. He usually goes home late on Fridays because of the study session his mom enrolled him to. He's against it, but what can he do? It would be considered disrespectful to not abide by the rules set by your parents at that age when you live here.
Their house is only a 10-minute walk from the venue where the study sessions are happening. He loves to walk, especially at days like this, because he can enjoy his alone time even if it's just for a few minutes.
"This life is like a record that repeats itself everyday. I wish something interesting happens! I want to witness something unusual. Something that you don't get to see everyday. I want my life to be more than just sleeping, eating, studying, and repeat. If this goes on for years, I'd rather just die!" He complained to himself as he continued to walk along the street, not knowing that his wish will soon be granted in a way he doesn't expect it to be.
"ACK! HELP! HELP M-egbvaragvae"
He stopped walking in front of a dark alley because of the voice that seemed to be screaming for help. It wasn't clear to him because he's wearing his earphones, listening to music as he walks. He finds it unusual because there wasn't a little girl screaming for help in the song, I Am You by Stray Kids.
Out of his curiosity, he entered the dark alley to see what's really happening. The excitement that he feels seems to be overpowering the nervousness in him. All he wanted was to witness something interesting and this day might finally be the day his wish will come true.
"You really won't shut up huh?! Do you really want me to slit your f*cking throat? You're f*cking annoying you little b*tch." The man in black long sleeves with a knife in his hand said.
The 18-year old suddenly remembered what his mom told him earlier this morning before he went to school.
"Yeni! Don't forget to head straight home later alright? There's this wanted serial killer that is said to be going around our neighborhood. It's all over the news. Real or not, it won't hurt to be careful. Don't enter dark alleys at night. You aren't supposed to go there anyway. It's really dangerous nowadays."
He dropped on the floor as he realized all that was said by his mom was all true, and that he did the opposite of his mom's advice.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
SHOULD I CALL THE POLICE?
DO I HELP HER?
I'M SCARED.
I WANT MY MOM
Those are the thoughts that has been entering his mind while he's down on the floor, looking at the 'unusual' scene happening in front of him.
Well you don't always see a serial killer trying to murder somebody right in front of you right?
"I want to s-see my mommy, and daddy, *sniffs* and our doggie. Please take m-me home now, mister *sniffs*. I won't scream ever again. I p-promise*sniffs*." The little girl, probably 9 years old, cried as she pleaded the killer while looking at him in the eyes.
