Midoriya took a deep breath and started walking towards his mother's house. The apartment he lived in his whole live before he and Bakugou got their own place. They lived in the same neighbourhood though, so their parents were never far off. He sighed, zipping up his jacket. He should've taken his scarf...

The cold winter air hit him in the face as he strolled down their street. A little over 10 minutes later he arrived at the building. People greeted him as he made his way towards the apartment. That's one of the reasons he and Kacchan didn't want to leave the neighbourhood they grew up in. People here knew them and they knew the people.

Everyone here knew who they really were and where they came from. They didn't judge the Wonder Duo on stories and gossip because they knew the actual people behind the masks. And after the incident years ago, they were one of the only communities still accepting of Izuku. They believed him when no one else did.

They had faith in him...

It made Midoriya feel wanted and appreciated and he needed that in life. With a soft knock on the door, he entered his childhood home. He still had a key so he always just walked in. It's not like his mother minded, neither did Shiemi.

"Big bro Izu!" Shiemi exclaimed, happily running up to him and jumping in his arms. Deku chuckled a little, hugging her back before carefully putting her back on the ground.
"Hey there sis! Where is mom?"
"In the living room! All Might is here too!" she stated, pulling Midoriya along.

'All Might? What is he doing here?' Izuku asked himself as they entered the living room. Sure enough, there he was, drinking tea with his mother.
"H-hi guys" Deku said with a small wave.
"Oh, young Midoriya, you're here! Great!" All Might stated, standing up.
"I wanted to talk to you"
"C-can it wait? I-I actually came t-to talk to my mom so..." Izuku whispered, looking away from his former idol.

"Is it about the adoption? Are you guys accepted?" Inko asked quickly, looking at her son with some hope. Midoriya bit his lip and shook his head, a tear making its way down his face.
"No... W-we were turned down. Again"
"Oh sweetie! Come here" Inko breathed out, hugging her son. Izuku was now much taller than her, meaning she had to look up to speak to him.

"So that's why you're all blue..." Shiemi whispered. Blue was the colour of sadness. Every colour stood for a different emotion and feeling that she could see. The waves and rainbow currents in the air, the aura's of people themselves... It was all part of her quirk.

"I didn't know you and Bakugou were trying" All Might whispered in shock.
"W-we've been for a few months now... Nobody will accept us because of what happened..."
Silence fell in the room as everyone got reminded of the incident. Shiemi never understood what exactly happened since no one ever spoke about it. She just knew it was kind of a traumatic experience that made her big brother look bad.

It was frustrating for her not to know since she knew about everything else. Her family had explained it to her when she was four. There were new kids in the neighbourhood and she wanted to go play with them but their parents didn't let her. They didn't want her anywhere near their children. Shiemi had read fear and disgust on them. Anger too.

That's when her mom called Izuku over and they explained to her that her father hadn't been a good man. That some people would judge her for that, as they did to her brother. It was then she started noticing how people treated her differently. That she was sometimes excluded from things because of her genetic background. It was so unfair!

"I could try to pull a few strings if you'd like? It can only help" All Might suggested while petting Deku's back.
"T-thank you, I-I would like that, yes" he smiled weakly. It was a fake smile, Shiemi noticed, but she didn't say anything about it.
"Not a problem, young Midoriya" the ex-hero smiled.
"I hope you'll find the happiness you deserve. But on another note-"
