Chapter 4: Ryan's Missing
Wednesday 15th September 2018
Faith's P.O.V.
I sat in the passenger's seat of the car that Jase was driving and looked into the parking lot of school as we pulled in. His car still isn't here. I've messaged him and he just isn't replying I don't know what has happened. I got his contact up on my phone again and sent him another message.
Ryan, I don't know where you've gone and why you're not replying to my messages but I hope everything is okay and you know where I am if you need me. I'm coming around to your house later. X
I then sent it and unclipped my seat belt and went to get out of the car before Jase grabbed my arm to stop me.
"What's wrong Faith? Is he still not replying?" Jase asked.
"How do you know what's happened?" I asked him.
"From Mom and I know who he is, we have Science class together."
"Oh, well no he isn't replying I'm going to go to his house tonight. Will you drive me?"
"Yeah of course, where does he live?"
"1037 Redfield Street in Malborough."
"Okay that's fine."
"Thanks Jase."
"Your welcome. If he's not there though Faith just forget him, you only went on one date."
"I know he just seems so nice and was such a gentleman, but yeah I will."
We then got out of the car and went our separate ways, I headed towards my Child Development class after going to my locker and sorting out what books I need. We are currently taking it in turns from class to class on who has to have this fake baby on the weekends, there's a chip in the baby that sets it off at different times. You have to write a whole study on it. We've been practising a lot about proper care in babies development since starting back at school. Who doesn't know how to look after a baby, I know it's hard but you learn, it's not hard to pick up. I sat down in my seat when I arrived in class. This is going to be a long day.

I closed my locker and then headed for the car where I was meeting Jase so we could go and check out Ryan's house and I so hoped he was there, I don't understand why he has skipped school 3 days in a row. Jase arrived at the car 5 minutes later and we got into the car and drove the 25 minutes to Ryan's house, Jase talking to me on the way there.
"Remember don't be disappointed, the guy is a tool if he isn't there and he hasn't texted you or anything about what has happened or where he even is, or even to say he is okay, bloody douche." Jase said.
"Yeah I know I just really don't understand why he hasn't messaged, he was so nice Jase, maybe he lost his phone." I said.
"It still doesn't excuse the fact that he isn't at school, I think he's avoiding your messages for a reason."
"I don't know, we're nearly there anyway."
When we arrived at his house I got out of the car and went up to the door and knocked on it. A minute passed and no one came to the door so I tried to open it but it was locked. There was no car on the drive. I peeped my head to look into the window and there was no lights on and there doesn't seem to be anyone home. There is a little girls bike outside the front chained to the wall, that would be his little sisters bike.
"Come on sis, let's just go." Jase said.
I went to get into the car but then their neighbour opened their front door and came out of the house.
"Hi, do you know the residents that live here?" The women asked.
"Yes I know Ryan, do you know where they are?" I asked her.
"No, they left Sunday night, early hours Monday morning, they had some suitcases in their hands and loaded the car up and left, I haven't seen them since."
I looked to Jase and he just looked at me.
"I don't get it." I said to him.
"It's fine let's just go." He said to me. "Thank you for telling us what you saw." Jase said to the women.
"Your welcome sweet, if they return I'll tell them you stopped by. What's your name honey?"
"It's Faith, thank you."
I got into the car and we drove home, Jase telling me he was a tool for not telling me or anything, but to me it seemed like there was an emergency for them to leave in the middle of the night, why would they do that, if it was planned he would have said and they would have left during the day, not in the middle of the night. When we arrived home I went upstairs to my bedroom. I'm not interested in talking to anyone right now, I'm quite mad that he hasn't said anything to me, also upset, I was starting to like him, he was a nice guy. I went onto my laptop and started doing my homework for the evening. I had to do as assignment for Child Development about the first 6 months of a baby's life, the daily care and things, luckily I remember a lot from when Dylan was a newborn, I spent a lot of time with Layla and Dylan. Before I started I decided to give Ryan one last message.
Hi Ryan, I went to your house, you obviously weren't there, I don't know where you are. I spoke to your neighbour and she said you had left in the middle of the night on Sunday. I hope you decide to message me, I don't know why you have left especially without an explanation, but I thought that in that week that we were talking, and that date that we went on we were getting closer and could have had something nice, I guess I was wrong. I'll stop messaging you but I'm really disappointed with what's going on. Bye.
I couldn't believe him but like Jase said it was only one date, it's just that it was one date, but it was a great date, and we had text every day from Monday to Sunday and had learned so much about each other that I thought we could have something special, I guess I was wrong, but I hope he does show up one day and maybe that day we can have something nice and special, until then I'll just have to get on with life, I'm in High School it isn't like this is the last guy I could have had something with, there are plenty more fish in the sea as my Mom always says. I went onto my laptop and started my project, I have until Friday to complete it, that'll be fine, I got it yesterday but couldn't be bothered to do it and I had other homework, but I'll easily get it done.
Time Skip ... 2 Hours Later ... 7.00PM ... Home ...
I went downstairs and grabbed a plate off chicken, bacon and cheese pasta bake with a portion of garlic bread. Dad had come home early and cooked us all a nice dinner which was nice as it is normally me or Jase cooking. I sat down in the lounge with Dad and Mia. Jase was probably eating in his room, but I like talking to everyone about their days. We spoke about Mia's day, she had a good day at school, so had Dad at work, and I filled them in on Ryan and my Dad said too to just forget about him, which I very much plan on doing, I'm not letting a guy get in the way of me getting good grades and becoming a writer, I nearly slipped when I broke up with Daniel but caught myself, so I won't be doing that again.
Once I finished my dinner I had a bath and headed to bed, calling the girls and filling them in on Ryan too, it then hit 9.00PM and I decided to get some sleep. It's been the longest day.
