Chapter Nine

~Jeongguk's POV~

"Stupid bwocks..." I dropped the wooden block and I heard a soft chuckle "Aww, is our baby getting cranky? You haven't had a nap today have you?" I felt myself getting lifted up and I let out a yawn, covering my nose with my hand "I guess we'd better take you back home, They power must be back on by now." I pouted and I made grabby hands towards Joonie and Jinnie "Wan' stay..." Daddy laughed softly and he shook his head, booping my nose

"We have to leave sweetheart, we can't stay here forever. You seem really tired and we have to go home" I smiled and I poked my cheek cutely "It tiwering bein dis cute" Appa and Daddy laughed and they nodded "Never has such truer words been spoken" Joonie said, laughing softly "He m-must be ex-exhausted from ea-earlier. I g-get really t-tired after the attacks, A-appa makes me ta-take a nap after them" Jinnie stood up and he walked over to me, handing me my paci "H-Here baby, you dr-dropped it!"

I took it thankfully and I popped it in my mouth, smiling widely. He smiled back and Daddy turned me around so I looked over his back. We walked to the front door and I waved slowly at the other two who were following us "Jimin, Tae? when you've finished eating each others faces, we're going now" I heard an awkward laugh and I giggled softly as I got turned to see the other two grown-ups "Okay, okay. Thanks for coming over! Bye bye Kookie!"

TaeTae walked up to me and I gently poked his cheek "Baibai..." He smiled at me and I giggled. Jinnie walked up to me and he squished my cheeks, making everyone laugh "Bye baby! s-see you soon! t-thanks for pl-playing with us!" Joonie slowly walked over to me and I pressed the pacifier against his nose "Baibai doonie...wuv yous!" He smiled and I poked one of his dimples "Love you too jungkook..." Jiminie walked over as he cooed at us and he slowly took Joonie's hand, taking him back to the Playroom with Jinnie

"Well, goodbye Kookie, thank you for coming!" He gently ruffled my hair and I smiled at him "Byebye Jiminie!" Daddy and Appa put their shoes on and I rubbed my eyes, yawning again "Alright, we're going before he falls asleep in my arms. See you later everybody!" We walked out to the car and I sighed softly, leaning my head against Daddy's chest.

He put my seatbelt on and I shut my eyes, listening to the soft music playing from the radio. My breathing slowed down and I heard Appa turn to look at me "Is he asleep?" He asked quietly, as to not wake me "Yeah..." I felt him gently pat my head and I sighed softly "We did it..." Appa said, sounding in awe.

"Yeah...he finally slipped...Even though it did take a nightmare to push him far enough..." I pouted slightly, remembering the nightmare earlier and I sucked on the paci slightly, making Daddy chuckle "Gah...He's so cute...Do you think he'll slip into babyspace?" I heard the engine turn off to indicate we arrived and Daddy lifted me up slowly, undoing my seatbelt

"Well he did seem pretty young, so young he could hardly pronounce anything, so maybe he might fall deeper, who knows..." We walked back into the house and I cringed slightly as the lights turned on as we entered "Ah, good. The powers back" I whined slightly and I covered my eyes "Aww, did we wake you up poppet? I'm sorry. Let's go put you in your crib" He carried me to my crib and I looked around, realising something was missing. I started crying softly and Daddy looked at me concerned "What's wrong baby?"

I moved my hand in a shaking motion and I found it hard to speak "W...wattwe...[Rattle]" He sighed sadly and he slowly picked me up again, rocking me side to side slightly to calm me down "Aww, I'm sorry honey, we left it at Jiminies didn't we...We'll go get it tomorrow" I nodded slowly and I hiccuped, calming down slowly "For now, let's give you your nap, you're quite tired" he lied me down on my back and I sniffled, hiccuping again. Daddy wiped my tears and my snotty nose "Sleep tight angel, I'll go talk to TaeTae about you rattle" He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room, turning the light off as he left.

I lied there in the dark and I sat up, looking around the dark room. There was a night light in the corner of the room and I moved slightly so I was sitting on my knees and I dropped my arms over the side of the crib. The room looked different in the dark and I whimpered slightly, seeing a shadow move outside the window. Appa's coat was draped over the timeout chair in the corner but in my head I saw an evil monster, ready to eat my face off.

I shrieked and picked up my pillow, holding it in front of my face "Kookie fight monsta..." I threw the pillow weakly at the chair and it knocked the coat off, making me smile "Kookie win...!" I dropped my paci on the floor and I pouted, reaching out to grab it. My arm was too short so I sighed "sacwifices must be made for gweatness..." I turned to look at the wall and I frowned "Too bawe..." I grabbed a nearby crayon and I started running it across the wall, hoping to make a rabbit, a cat and a sun.

I stuck my tongue out slightly since I was extremely focused and I leaned back once I had finished and I smiled happily, proud of my painting. I giggled softly and I shuffled around on my butt to look at the full playroom "What should Kookie do nows..." I yawned softly and I lost my balance so I fell onto my side, making me laugh "Oopsies..." I rolled onto my back and I started fiddling with my fingers, which was somehow amusing my young mind "Sweetie?" The door opened an I froze, looking to see who entered.

I smiled widely when I saw Appa's face and I giggled at his heart-shaped smile when he saw me. He walked over to me and I waved at him "Why are you not asleep honey?" I shrugged and I continued playing with my fingers "Aww, what have you done to the walls? and why is your paci on the floor?" he picked it up and he put it in his pocket "Awt..." I said softly, pointing to my drawing on the wall.

He chuckled softly and he slowly pulled me to a sitting position "It's very nice bun but try not to colour on the walls anymore, okay?" I nodded and I put my thumb in my mouth, sucking on it "No, don't do that honey, it's bad." I pouted and I nodded slowly "Well, can you not fall asleep?" I nodded slowly and he kissed my forehead "Aww, I'm sorry bun. Should I put on some music? Daddy makes music, and I sing in one! do you want to hear it?" I nodded eagerly and he turned some music on "There's some bad words in this song, I don't want you to repeat them, okay?" I nodded and he went silent to listen to the music.

Within a few notes I was already yawning loudly and I listened to the peaceful song "A..aiwpwane..." I sung softly along with Appa's voice in the song and he laughed softly "Aww, are you a little singer?" I hid my face in my hands as I blushed and he ruffled my hair "Ahh, you're so cute" I smiled at him and I yawned, my eyes falling shut as I listened to the music.

I felt someone gently push me onto my back and I whined softly "Give me a moment baby, I need to wash your paci" He walked out of the room and I listened to the soft melody playing from the phone. I slowly started to fall asleep and I felt Appa gently push the paci between my lips "Goodnight honey bun..." He kissed my forehead and he turned the music off, leaving the room quietly. I smiled softly and I slowly nodded off, dreaming of thunderstorms and crabs.
