As we got ready to go to bed I wanted to make sure Francis and I were safe. Who knows if we could trust them. "Arthur, maybe you are over doing it?" Francis laughed as I locked my room door and started to pull a chair up to it. "Nonsense, I am just trying to protect us" I said walking over to him. Francis smiled and placed his hand on my shoulder. "That is my job" he laughed. I lifted a brow at this and wondered. "Francis....you know we can't do this again" I said taking his hand off my shoulder. "I know" he said seriously and sitting on the bed. "I am just trying to be positive" he admitted. I sat next to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. "I know, I appreciate that" I smiled at him. He coughed and scooted away from me a bit awkwardly. "So where will I sleep?" He asked and I did not think about that part. "Ahhhh" I said standing up and heading to my closet to find extra blankets , but did not. Now that I think about it, I don't really own spare blankets. Besides in the guest room but the other people were there.
"I don't have any" I said slapping my forehead. "No worries, we can sleep together" Francis chirped. "Fine" I said , if it meant I won't be stressed trying to find a place for him to sleep I was fine with it. I turned and saw how shocked he was. "What?" I asked . "Oh nothing , I just wasn't expecting you to say that" he laughed nervously and started to slide himself into the bed covers. "Just don't try anything" I said getting in bed as well. I flipped the lamp switch off and stared into the dark space.
"Arthur?"
"Yes , Francis?"
"Are you still awake?"
"YES !!!! Obviously I am awake or I would not have responded you Bloody git"
"I was just asking"
Silence was heard after that conversation. It had been awhile since we were in this situation. Laying in bed together. I turned over on my side and looked at him seriously. He mimicked my movement and stared back. "I hope you know that what happened all those years ago will not happen again" I stated. "Oh of course, but if you are thinking about that, it makes me wonder if you wish for that" Francis laughed. "We have to stay serious in this situation...what if something were to happen to you! I would feel guilty" I glared but his stupid smile seemed to show through the dark room. "Never" he laughed and I turned away from him. It was frustrating to be next to such a charismatic person.~time skip ~
"Mmmm" I groaned not being able to breath a bit. I moved my head a bit trying to go back to sleep. "Mmmm" I heard against my cheek. "Ehh?" I moaned opening my eyes finally seeing how close Francis was to me, I snapped awake and also noticed his arms around me tightly. "Wake up frog" I moved around trying to wake him up. "One more minute" he complained and I grew a bit angry. "No!" I said and moved more until he finally started to wake. "Arthur?" He asked with a husky voice. I felt my ears get hot at the sound of his morning voice. "Uhhh" was all I could say. He finally opened his eyes and stared straight into my soul. "Ar....Arthur?" He said breathing against my neck. A shiver went down my spine and I realized he was still holding onto me. "Francis...you are holding onto me" I said and he snapped out of his daze and let me go. "Sorry about that" he said sitting up on the bed. "It is fine..." I copied his movements and we sat in silence for a bit. "We could just forget that happened" he laughed and scratched the back of his hair. I laughed along and did the same. If I am being honest, I liked it a lot. His being so close made me feel warm.
"We should get up now"I said and we both nodded. There was a knock at the door and we both turned fast staring at it. "I will get it" he said and walked over to the door. H moved the chair and unlocked the door soon opening it slowly. He was suddenly pushed back onto the floor. "I was wondering when both of you would answer" Oliver smiled and hugged Francis. I rolled my eyes at his happiness and started to walk away. "Wait Arthur, help" Francis asked. I turned back to him from out the door and laughed at him. "You seem occupied" I smiled and left soon hearing him call for me. Oliver seems to like him a lot. Which is weird, he is a smelly frog. I walked into the kitchen and turned on the stove to start my tea.
"Why do you have an attitude all the time?" I jumped at the voice and turned quickly to see François standing behind me . "How long were you there?" I asked a bit scared. "Not long, now answer the question" he demanded and I have a sickening look at him. "I don't have to explain myself to you" I spat at him. He took his cigarette out of his mouth and put it out against my counter. I wanted to hit him for that but I had to keep it cool. "What is your problem?" I said but he kept glaring at me until he got close to me. "What are you doing?" I asked. This feeling of him being this close was not like the feeling Francis gave me. It was a feeling of inferiority. I hated it.
"How about you spend the night with me tonight, ditch your FREIND" he emphasized the word friend. "As if I would do that to Francis, how about you stay in your lane" I said glaring back at him. He released a laugh and smiled at me. "Fine then-." He was cut off
"Arthur?" We both turn and see Francis standing in the threshold of the kitchen. "Francis! It is not what it looks like" I laughed pushing away François. "You don't need to explain to me anything, we are not together" Francis stated and it actually hurt my feelings. "Right..." I said looking away. François laughed from behind and I turned to glare at him. "Great! More for me" he laughed and looked Francis straight in the eyes. In fact....they looked both of each other in the eyes and did not stop till Oliver came and started to shake them.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
