Ok so i'm gonna apologize right now that this isn't an update. I finish exams on Friday and then I should have more time to write some more. Ok now onto what I have to say.
The prom is closing on Broadway on August 11.
I literally feel like crying.
This show has meant so much to me. It has given me an inexplicable sense of joy and happiness, also just a sense of being able to see myself represented on stage.
The one thing that makes me really sad is that people won't be able to enjoy this show for a few years. Yes there's going to be a tour, but that's in 2021. By the time it reaches my home of Toronto it will be another 1 and a half-2 years. It will be 2023. I graduate in 2022 and plan to leave my house and probably move to the states. Then what? Will it come near where I'm living?
Not only on a selfish standpoint, just the fact that so many people won't be able to see this show. So many young kids or teens won't be able to see theirselves represented in a real and honest way makes my heart hurt.
I'm really sorry for updating this when it's not a chapter but I think that this deserves it and I want to cry.
