"I know I gotta face the truth,

But it's tearing me up inside."

Richelle's POV

When you get someone back with you, and you lose them, it hurts again.

Noah and I became friends again not long ago, and because of the studio drama, I lost him. I know I've told myself so many times that this is the best way to get rid of Miss Angela, but things aren't looking so good for me.

I trudge along the footpath leading to the front door of my house. I let my feet drag along the ground. At the door, I pause and reach out to put the key into the lock. I slowly turn it until it clicks. Then, I push open the door and step inside.

I can hear distinct yelling. I think it's from my mother.

Oh no. What has Abbey done that made her so mad?

Pulling my bag off my shoulder, I dump it beside my shoes and hurry off to the kitchen.

"...you know you shouldn't miss a lesson just because you had to do something you didn't want to do," my mum continues.

Abbey's eyes briefly flicker to me. Her cheeks go into a deeper shade of red.

"What should I do about you, Abbey Nolet? Hmm?" she demands, with her hands on her hips.

Did she skip a lesson at school? Out of all the little things she does at school, she decides to skip?

I exhale before saying, "Mum. Stop it! I've had enough!"

My mother faces me and glowers darkly. "Don't raise your voice at me young lady."

With a huff, she resumes chopping up the vegetables. The lines on forehead appear severely imprinted; worse than before. Her face seems thinner. One look at her now, I can tell everything isn't okay.

Abbey looks at me. I signal to her to come over to me. She walks over and heads towards her room. I decide to follow along behind her.

As I walk in, I'm captured by the fairy lights on the wall. They are dotted along the photos on the wall above her bed; which is a mess. Her room is chaos, whereas mine is organised. We're pretty much polar opposites.

Abbey lies down on her bed, gazing up at the ceiling.

"Wanna tell me what's up?" I sit down on the edge of her bed.

She continues stare at the ceiling. "My teacher decided to bring in a police officer for our history lesson after lunch and I saw them arrive at school. From then on, I knew I had to go."

This is confusing. "Why did you go because of a police officer?" I ask.

She turns onto her side and finally looks me straight in the eyes. "He was the one who pulled me to the station for breaking that window at school."

I feel my breathing constrict. Abbey had unintentionally smashed the window in a fight with another girl a year ago. Their relationship had been pretty rough a few weeks before that day, and one day the other girl decided to lash out at Abbey. Both girls had to serve 30 hours of community service.

"Well, then... I see why you were scared," I manage to say.

Abbey nods in agreement.

"What's been happening with you?" she asks.

I sigh, "Too much."

Everything from the day before I came back to the studio comes back into my mind. Noah...Piper... A-Troupe... Miss Angela... Who knew that there were so many things that caused me trouble?
