"Dad! I'm heading out now!" Nicole shouted as she rushed out the door with her bag. She observed the world around her as she normally does when her life isn't hectic, which it has been lately. She lived with only her dad now that they separated a little while back. "Why can't I catch a break?..." As she walked to another block, she noticed a crowd gathered around, some out of anger, the younger folks out of either curiosity or indifference, she noticed one of her friends in the crowd. "Ash, what's going on?"

"One of the famous rich families just moved to town. There's talk of them taking over this town. Their children are going to be in school with us, I'm just trying to get a good look at them," she said excitedly.

"That's it? You know the rich people don't give a shit about us and your fan girling over them like they're a performer, which still would make us virtually invisible to them as they're rich as well," she corrected herself as she spoke.

"Nicole, stop being so negative. You never know, their son might be a hunk. Who knows? You get in with the family, you'll be set for life. You know? A big mansion, fancy car, no more work, all the luxurious trips you can handle, maids, butlers, you name it. How could you not want that and be so cynical," Ashley listed off the perks as Nicole's eyes rolled and her head shook.

"Just like you to think of those things, b-" she was cut off by Ashley.

"Here they come," she said excitedly watching as a limousine drove by. Two older people came out, the owners of the company, followed by a man who must've been in his 20s wearing a nice suit and hair slicked back, then a young lady around 13 who had dirty blonder hair, with brown eyes, followed by a younger man who was around their age with bright green eyes, light brown neatly done hair and he caused intrigue amongst all the girls present, including Nicole."oh my gosh, look at him, he's so cute."

"He is, but we have to go or we'll be late for first period, let's go now," Nicole pulls her by her arm to head on their way, but even she couldn't help not thinking of those eyes of his. As they left, the CEO and owner of the company spoke to the crowd, introducing himself as Gregory St. James and his wife Liza, his eldest heir to the company Michael, their only daughter Valerie and young son Alex.

"Did you see how he looked? so dreamy. Any girl that dates him is so lucky. I wonder if he's like a closeted bad boy that must be well-mannered in public to avoid the scrutiny of people," Ashley went on and Nicole listened but she didn't put an input.

"Ash, calm down. you're being a little overdramatic," she said trying to be calm. "Besides, whoever dates him will either be the luckiest girl or the most despised on at the least. Imagine, she won't have to work for the rest of her life, but also girls would try to hurt her, hate on her, the parents probably want the best of the best when it comes to girls for their sons," she explained what she meant."So either way, you're screwed.Almost makes it worth it to not work at that dreaded restaurant anymore as well."

"You do deserve happiness too, away from what you go through," Ashley told her kind of solemnly, knowing what has happened to her. "Maybe you'll be the lucky one." She joked to her as they went to school and separated until the end of the day.
