Thad told the police what had happened before relaying it to his friends. He was still pale, extremely shaken from being held at gunpoint.

"What happened?" Blaine asked.

"They like- they silently asked me something, like I could tell they wanted me to answer an unasked question. I told them I was aro-ace, assuming they were asking so they knew how to kill me," he said. "I kinda over-explained it, like I do when I panic. They just- just looked at me, before clarifying that I don't date. Their voice was clearly modified."

"I said yeah, that's right. Then they clarified that I had no boyfriends, no crushes. Again, I said yeah, correct."

"Then they pointed the gun to my chest, right at my heart, and said- word for word- 'I am no murderer. I am a protector.'"

"How do you protect people by killing?" Hunter asked.

Thad shook his head. "I didn't ask. I was like so Spiderman... but they kill people."

Jeff sighed deeply. "And they didn't just shoot you on the spot?"

"They laughed," Thad said. "They actually, genuinely laughed. They told me to tell 'them' that, and then said 'The Dark Spiderman.' I think that's their new title. But then- and this is the freakiest part- they said 'My Gwen will appreciate that.' Then Nick showed up, you know what happens next."

"They said what?" Nick asked, looking horrified.

Thad nodded. "Think about it. They're a protector, clearly of whoever their 'Gwen' is. But their Gwen isn't a girl. They're killing gay men, bisexuals- but didn't kill me and clarified I wasn't attracted to guys. Nobody straight has died, nor gay girls."

"Whoever they're in love with must go to Dalton," Blaine said.

Thad nodded again. "Exactly."

"But why my sister and Nick's brother?" Jeff asked. "Not anyone else's siblings? It can't be either of us- if they're killing off potential love interests, they wouldn't kill our siblings."

"I don't know."
