~ seven ~

Navi

I wake up as the sun shines through the blinds, creating a striped array across the white walls. Today is a new day.

I grab my notebook and start writing.

Everything that happened last night feels like it will change my life forever- maybe it already has? I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I'm ready.

"Nav, love, are you awake?" My mum enters my room and I'm suddenly hit with the aroma of a cooked breakfast. I shoot her a quick smile as I jump out of bed and grab my phone.

"Are you making breakfast? I'm starving." We make our way along the light airy corridor and she bumps into me.

"So, I noticed you sneaking off into a dark corner with Ruel...what was that about?" 

I immediately get defensive because I don't want to give away what I'm feeling. And to be honest I'm not even sure what that feeling is. "Mum seriously? The kid followed me what was I supposed to do, tell him to do one so I could eat my pizza in peace? Plus he's huge and I'm pretty sure he could knock me out just by stretching his arm."

She looks at me with a raised eyebrow and says with a disbelieving tone,"Yeah he seems the type to do that Navi,"

"I'm serious, we don't know him - he could be crazy!" 

"Crazy in luvvvvv" She coo's as we sit down at the breakfast table. Will must've caught the tail end of the conversation as he questions "Ooo who's in love?"

"I was just saying to Nav that Ruel looked quite keen on her, what do you think hun?" They both lean in to kiss each other and I scrunch my face up, suddenly not feeling as hungry as I thought.

"Hmm well Ruel is a lad I can tell you that much, other than that I'm sworn to secrecy. Bro code." 

"But wha-" Will interrupts me by holding his hands up.

"Uh uh uh, bro code Nav."

I mentally scream and roll my eyes at him. 

"Seriously how young do you think you are?" I whisper under my breath.

"Young enough to score your mother, and still have my complete hearing abilities." He replied. Sometimes he makes me want to vom with what he says, but he only does it because he knows it will annoy me, and my Mum thinks it's hilarious when I'm creeped out by their relationship.

My phone vibrates with a snapchat notification.

Roo

I unlock my phone and see that he had sent me a chat.

Roo: i can't believe you made me eat pineapple pizza

I scoff and type out my reply

Me: yeah i totally forced you to eat it

He opens it instantly

Roo: yeah you totally did, i could've died

Me: awe that's a shame. next time i'll be sure to ask about your preferences before 'forcing' you to eat food again

Roo: oh theres a next time? ;)

HAHAHHAHAH MY HEART. I take a few seconds to think clearly but I am interrupted by my mum announcing that we're having a beach day.

"I need you to get ready now because we're going food shopping first," I roll my eyes at her "I know, your favourite activity." I hop off the chair and place my dishes into the dishwasher before making my way back to my room.
