What is LOVE?
When I was a child, I believed in fairytales I'm hoping that there would be a handsome prince saves me from my misery and we'll live happily ever after but in real life it's all an illusion.
More of an escape from a sad reality, growing up I thought love is something you'll get if you work hard and show sincerity to that person. If you make an effort and give all the love you can give to him he'll love you in return that would only happen in your perfect imaginary world.
Reality wise not at all, the person you care and cherished will also be the same person who causes you heartbreak and misery.
I realized that I was giving too much of myself to him that I'm losing the capability to love myself. Slowly, hating myself for something that I'm not living to anyone's expectations.
I should stop being hard to myself for the longest time. I believe in order to be loved you have to earn it, I know you really have to for you to show your sincerity and dedication to the person but not to the point you'll lose your sense of worthiness and dignity.
It's funny how life makes you learn lessons the hard you maybe this is the way the world tells me to let go. Be free and condone anyone's judgements. All my life, I'm pleasing everyone only to realize I'm hating myself more for not being strong to fight for me.
Letting go of someone's special to you is hard especially if he's been a part of your life for the longest time. I never realized he became my world that stopped me from exploring the world around and be contented to be at his side. When I started to hope and asked for what's more than we have. I lost myself in the process and loving someone is a two way road but in my case I'm the only one walking in that journey.
That's being a one sided lover for you. Now, I'm letting all the pain and hurt within me break free. I'm starting all over again and this time I'll love myself better for I deserve it.
I'm worth loving because I can love. No one should be measured to be worthy when it comes to love. All is fair and square when it comes to love. No ones comes first and last it's just love.
