Josie woke up to her sister, Lizzie, screeching in her ear. She was grumpy, but was kind of thankful. She dreamt about her. The She-Devil (as Lizzie called her), wouldn't seem to leave her mind. It's only been a month. Josie thought to herself.
"Get up! Daddy called us to his office. He said it's important." Lizzie practically yelled.
Josie groaned and reluctantly got up. She went to the bathroom and did her usual morning routine. While she was getting ready, she kept think about her. She knew she shouldn't, but Josie couldn't help herself.
Every night since their breakup, Josie would say, "I hate her. I truly do," In an effort to make herself feel better. She said this, but she knew it wasn't true. When she tried to convince herself that she did hate her, all she got were flashbacks of when she was happy. When she was with Penelope.
Like, when Penelope would hold her close when Josie was upset, and not let her go until she knew the other girl was ok. Or when Penelope stood up for her when Josie was being picked on by their asshole classmates (specifically the wolves, although no one understood why they bullied her; she was the Headmaster's daughter).
Penelope Park might look like a selfish bitch, but Josie knew otherwise. With her, Penelope was sweet. She completely dropped her tough facade when around Josie.
Josie was ripped from her thoughts by the bathroom door being shoved open. She turned her head to the movement, and was surprised to see her best friend, MG, standing there.
"What the hell, MG? Why are you in here?" Josie said agitated. She could have been naked.
"Sorry Jose, but Lizzie told me to, 'get your ass out of that damn bathroom,' and I'm not the kind of guy to deny someone as beautiful as she is." He said, using his fingers to enhance what Lizzie said. Josie felt bad for him. MG had been running after Lizzie for three years now, and it was
tiresome watching him follow her around like a sad puppy. Josie has been trying to help him get over Lizzie, but he's so infatuated with her."God, you're like her little puppet," Josie said, while shaking her head in disbelief. "Where did she go anyway?" She questioned.
"She went to go find Rafael." MG said, his voice laced with venom while saying the students name. He hated Raf, even though the wolf never did anything to him, except for taking Lizzie away.
"Jesus, lets go before you vamp-out on me." Josie giggled. She grabbed MG's arm and they walked together, talking about anything they could before reaching her father's office.
She knocked on the hard door, and after hearing a soft, 'come in' she opened the door. To her surprise, all of Josie's friends were there. She looked around and saw Lizzie, Rafael, Hope, Landon, and Kaleb.
Josie and MG closed the door, and sat on one of the brown leather couches.
"I gathered you all here because you are the strongest supernaturals in the school, and I need your help." Alaric said. He spoke in a serious tone. "Two of your teachers, Emma and Dorian, were deemed missing two nights ago. I didn't want to send out a search party right away, in case they were having a private... rendezvous outside school grounds. But now I'm getting worried. Dorian is a close friend of mine, and he always notifies me if he's going somewhere. I still haven't heard anything from either parties." Alaric finished.
All of the students had shocked looks on their faces, but were unable to say anything before the door opened, interrupted them.
"What are you doing here?!" Josie said in disbelief. She was angry, hurt, sad, but most of all, nervous, because she knew she couldn't control herself around her.
"Aww, Jojo, did I startle you?" The woman said in mock sincerity.
Alaric sighed and said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, Miss Penelope Park will be joining you as well."
