Jett was finally put of the hospital walking the halls of the school. Everyone was whispering "What happened?" and "Is he okay?". The looks the would give him made him feel uncomfortable. It was like he was the center of attention but he didn't want to be. He wanted everyone to focus on something else.
Reece spotted Jett in the hallway and ran to him with Alex and Layla following behind her. Reece wrapped her arms around him protectively. Jett did the same and leaned down to her ear. "Hey babe." He said. Reece blushed at the name and looked up at him. Alex and Layla gave him the death glare but approved eventually. "How are you feeling?" Reece asked. "Better." He answered. He leaned down capturing her lips for a quick peck.
Jett looked at her in the eyes smiling brightly. "I love you." he said. "I love you too." Reece said. The moment was beautiful but ruined by a cough. Jett looked over seeing Blake. "Osrry to in interrupt." Blake said holding his arms open. Jett excepted his hug. "We missed you man." He said. "I missed you guys too." Jett said. "Who wants to do something stupid?" Jett asked and added a small wink gesturing to Reece. Blake and Reece agreed. "Can we join?" Layla asked dangerously with Alex behind her. "Really?" Reece asked excitedly. The both nod. All of them ran out of the school running for the park that was only a mile away from there not caring if they were caught or not.
They sat up on the money bars smoking cigarettes making sure no kids were around first. They laughed and felt free for the first time in awhile. "We should go on a road trip..." Blake suggested. The others laughed but then actually thought about it. "I wouldn't mind." Reece shrugged. "It actually sounds like tons of fun." She added.
Layla nudged her smiling. "I'm down but I gotta go." Alex said jumping down first. They were having so much fun that they didnt realize it was already late. They must've been there for hours. The watched as Alex walked away slowly. Layla jumped down as well. "Gotta go too." Layla said. Blaks jumped down fast. "Layla wait!" He yelled. Layla turned around meeting Blake's lips on her own. Reece and Jett cheered in the background. "Don't eat her face!" Reece yelled. Blake held up the middle finger still kissing her. Reece laughed and leaned into Jett.
The two walked away hand in hand as Reece and Jett still sat upon the monkey bars. "This is what I've been waiting for, for so long." Reece spoke looking into Jett's eyes. "What?" Jett asked. "This." Reece said intertwining their fingers together. She leaned in pecking his lips. "I love you." She spoke. "I love you too." Jett said with a red face. Jett jumped down first and then Reece jumped with Jett catching her in his arms. He carried her bridal style down the street as they both laughed. Reece through her hands around him both still laughing as the sun was dying out.
This was the kind of love people said was wrong, but it wasn't true. Reece loved it. The feeling she'd get whenever they did stupid stuff together, and when she'd just lay on Jett's bedroom floor laughing together. She loved every moment of it and nothing would ruin it. She breathed in and out as he continued to carry her. She smiled looking up at the sky. "So beautiful..." She whispered.
