Ratchet is the older brother of series protagonist, Tirzah Rose, and younger brother of Samus Aran. He's also the last of the Lombax species. After many adventures with his best friend, Clank, Ratchet discovered Tirzah after she crash landed on Veldin and promised that he would help her find her way home and the possibility of what happened to her parents. Along the way, he discovered he was the new wielder of the Element of Integrity. He also adopted Tirzah as a little sister in order to protect her. While at points Ratchet may not seem to really to care about the mission at hand, when he sees the reason why the group is fighting, he will keep that as the only thought for the rest of the mission. However, he doesn't take failure very lightly and can easily melt down at the mention of what happened to his species, especially Alister Azimuth, the only Lombax he ever had a close relationship with. He will also worry for either his friends or family if someone gets very hurt or lost. Luckily, with the help of the ones he loves, Ratchet will always jump back ready to save the day from Mystere and her forces of Dark Magic.
