CHAPTER TWO:
i stare at her name on my phone; debating if i should text her first or wait to see if she texts me.
what if she doesn't answer?
what if she thinks i'm lame and doesn't want to talk to me?
guess there's one way to find out.
i take a deep breath and type "hey" in my phone.
my thumb hovers over the send button.
i quickly press it and lock my phone.
i look at the black screen waiting for it to light up, signaling that i received a message.
nothing.
i sigh and decide to just turn on the tv and forget about it for a minute.
my phone buzzes.
'message from luke,' it reads
i sigh and unlock his message.
"dude you know that girl from starbucks today?" he questions.
"yeah?" i type.
a minute later i get another text. its a picture, again from luke.
i look at the picture to see a girl accompanied by a blonde guy, sitting on a bench together; smiling at each other. haylee. i get a lump in my throat and my stomach drops.
"who's he?" i ask.
"its her brother i was just gonna scare you."
i sigh in relief and reply, "dick."
i lock my phone but as soon as i do, i get a message from haylee.
"hi!" -haylee
"are you busy tonight?" i text back.
"no plans." -haylee
"okay cool. would you want to go to dinner with me somewhere tonight maybe?"
"yeah, sure!" -haylee
score, i think to myself.
"okay great. you like nandos?" i question.
"who doesn't?" -haylee
"good point. we just going to meet there considering i don't know where you live?" i ask.
"sounds good. 7:00?" -haylee
"see you at 7:00 ;)," i end the conversation.
i exit out of my text messages and go through my twitter feed.
i decide to do a follow spree out of boredom, so i tweet it out.
in seconds my feed blows up and i start following random accounts.
it's already 5:00 so, after about 15 minutes of following accounts, i decide to jump in the shower.
